GHS strings are my favourite since a long time! This set is amazing on electric 12 string guitars. I use it on my B.C.Rich double neck Bich, a vintage USA handmade one, and it sounds amazing! What I like more of the GHS Boomers is that they don't loose their brightness so hard as many other brands: they don't last much longer than others, but they sure sound better for longer!

I needed to replace the strings on my Ricky 12 string guitar and was looking at the various manufacturers who produced such sets. I've tried a few other string brands but after a bit of research found that the Pyramids are the de-facto strings for a Rickenbacker. Previously I found that nickel-wound strings were a little 'zingy' but using the flat-wounds gives you that Rickenbacker jangly tone that you hear on records etc. I'll be using flat-wounds from onwards. Yes, they are a little more expensive but I can assure you that they will be worth it!

The "Daddario EXL150" 12 string electric guitar string set in nickel plated steel, these were supplied from the factory with my Danelectro DC59 twelve string, they sounded great and the factory setup, (was probably the best I have had on any new guitar !!) so I was happy to find the Daddario strings are cheap and readily available. The set are made up with plain and round wound strings, gauges are 010/010 - 013/013 - 008/017 - 012/w026 - 018/w036 - w026/w046. These are fairly "bright" sounding strings when new, I find they take a couple of days to stretch in and for the sound to dull a little, after that they sound great - clean, clear and stable, with the little Danelectro they give that classic 12 string jangle, full, crisp and articulate. I use Elixir nano webs on...
