Ummm, not convinced this is worth over £1,000

I was hoping this would be a great guitar. However, despite apparently being checked by Gibson before leaving their factory it was awful when delivered. The bridge on the low E side was barely screwed in and the string gap was about 5mm at the 12th fret. I could correct this but it wasn't what I expected. I also noticed that there appeared to be a few spots of glue on the fretboard near the 13/14th fret and the pickup switch doesn't feel like a quality item, it's a bit wobbly and slightly noisy. If this is American craftsmanship then I'm thinking about returning it and buying a Harley Benton LP style guitar at 25% of the cost. I'm disappointed so far.

love it

this is my first Gibson and I am glad to say that I really love it

from the finish, the looks, the feeling

the satin nick finish is really good and comfortable,

she really looks amazing in person

I love the vintage tuners looks

the pickups are are really good, the NP is very throaty and warm, and the BP is very shiny but if you lowered the tune it's very wide and fat

overall I am in love with it and hopefully it's not the last Gibson I get .

Just wow

This was my first Les Paul, and quality has just blown me away. It arrived in perfect condition, and was well packaged (I might add the soft shell case is far more protective than I thought it would be). After letting it adjust to the change in temperature, the guitar is incredible. It came set up with good action, and the finish is gorgeous.

The playability of this guitar is excellent - the neck doesn't feel uncomfortable whatsoever, and the guitar is heavy enough to get that classic Les Paul sound, but light enough so that you don't break your back whilst playing it. The pickups are great, and sound awesome through my Marshall Stack.

Honestly, as a first Les Paul, I don't think I could have wished for a better guitar!

A Gibson LP to take out and play (and looks fabulous too)

Once had a GLP Standard. Back then, I had to try at least 10 guitars until I found one with looks, tone and neck comfort. So buying online was like gamble. Add to that the risk of damage during a 15 day shipment from abroad... But the price was really good compared with Turkey so I gave it a shot.

The guitar looks fantastic. No bindings but the maple reveal on the body contour and the maple neck do the trick. Satin is what I always needed because that glossy finish on my Standard made it look vulnerable and made me hesitate from taking it out of the house. This one, I can finally take out to play.

Pros:

Tuning Stability: Great

Setup: Great right out of the box

Gig-bag: Great quality, much usable than the hard case (I owned it)

Relative to player/style:

Bridge PU: Not very hot and loud, but OK for Classic or Hard Rock

Neck PU: Kinda muddy.

Neck: It's personal. Pretty comfy for me

Cons:

Acoustic Sustain: OK but not as good as LP Standard

Frets: I'd rather have Jumbos

No Coil-Split

Gibson did a great job overall. It's not a collector's item, it's here for you to play. Good quality without useless show-off. You won't have to change anything, except for the pickups maybe, depending on your personal taste. I'll keep them for the while, maybe I'll get to like them better IDK.

Im now officialy converted to Gibson LP

the only thing better than this guitar is probably a Gibson LP classic or a standard... i donno... i like the satin finish... but this guitar opened my taste for a high end Gibson LP as well...as my thoughts were like...hmmm if this one is so good...i wonder how much better are the others... its a very deep rabbit hole folks...dont go there... just enjoy what you have... a great tone, straight forward Gibson LP; no binding, no case... but...man man it rocks... wow...

Worth it

The guitar made a very good impression as soon as i took it out the box. Comes with a nice, padded gigbag. Guitar looks great although the color is a bit different than on the picture here. Burst isn't as eye catching, it's a bit weaker. Body colour is brighter than here also. It came with a little dry fretboard, but it's not a problem some lemon oil will do the job. Overall guitar sounds great, workmanship is excellent, and she had no issues with setup. Definitely would buy another one.
