Sturdy and pretty, but the gold color is just a fragile coating
Ergonomically these are great strap pins, the only problem being that the color wears off way too easily (with rubbing) because it's a just a thin and fragile golden coating. Underneath, after some time (if you take off your strap rather often) you get back to plain chrome color. Good, but not great.
Great product
These strap buttons were bought to replace the ugly Schaler style strap locks I had on my Les Paul. They look great and with a rubber washer to lock the strap they work perfectly too. Only time will tell how the gold holds up though.

purchase the Gotoh EP-B1 Gold Strap Pins and I have to say they look sharp and work well, I've tried using a variety of guitar straps and they all fit snug and really well, all in all a good product
