Heavy and stable

Good option for any mic, specialy expensive drum overheads without going to crazy expensive options meant only for studio.

Rock Solid

Bought this in response to drunk people knocking my previous stand over while dancing. Hasn't happened once since, every part of this is very well built and its nice and heavy. Highly recommend.

Great on budget

It's a great stand but with a few minor balancing issues. The one I got seems to have a hard time tightening, but overall great product for the price

The heavy base guy with boom arm

I like Gravity stands so I bought these to use them as stands for overhead mics. Lately I using NT1A mics as overheads and they're kinda heavy (1kg with mounting).

I extending their boom arm kinda far while using and they starting to be a little unbalanced. I ordered two of them and no idea what the cause is but one of them holding the mic good but the other is not that tight and starts lowering the angle because of the weight. That made me some headache when I noticed it first. 30 mins into the recording session one of the mic was ~20-30 cm lower than it was initially so we had to start over.

Other than that is's a great stand, if you want to use it with smaller mics it won't cause problems and will handle them perfectly.

But if you want to use it with more heavy mics like me, I recommend you getting a counterweight to put on the other side of boom arm!

Since then I changed the boom arm with another gravity stand because what I really like about this is that the boom arm taking up so little space.

Gravity MS 4322 HDB Mic Stand

Hey Folks, i decided recently to treat myself to a new mic stand as my previous stands have been a bit lightweight and too easily knocked over, especially playing in bars sometimes. After looking here i decided on this Gravity stand, a reasonable price and it looked stylish so i placed the order. When it arrived i was initially disappointed as the tubing of the stand is quite slim, not as heavy as i would've liked.. however, once i put it together and tightened everything up, i found that the stand is actually very strong and stable. The tripod base is heavy and holds the floor firmly so it is hard to push the stand out of place. If you push the top part of the stand there is movement but it instantly springs back into place like a tree in the wind! The look of this bit of kit is very attractive and whoever designed it certainly had an eye for detail. All the knobs to tighten various joints are rubberised, all the parts have a feeling of quality with an excellent black sheen-finish on all the metal parts. It's very quick and easy to adjust the microphone position to exactly suit the user's need. I've had this stand in use now for about a week and i'd say it's ideal for home use and recording + occasional gigging. It's strong even though it's light but for serious players i'd suggest looking for something more robust. I'm happy with it in my living-room but not sure how well this bit of kit would survive Life on the road! It's not my ideal mic stand, i'd prefer something more heavily built, but i'm keeping it because it'll do just fine till i manage to arrange my world tour..at which point i'll be able to afford the ¤2-300 i'd need to spend to get something a lot better! For the price, this Gravity stand is very good, it functions perfectly well and is well-designed and stylish, i actually like it a lot and am very pleased with it overall.. i only wish they'd made it more heavy-duty! Thanks :))x
