No regrets!

Excellent stuff, work well on small combos even with heavy mics.

Good Idea

But not good enough design to solve problem. Can’t hold my SM7B.

Works great on most small amps

Works well on most small combo amps.

Tightens well on all adjustable elements.

Folds up so it doesn’t take up much space.

A great way to mount a microphone to a guitar amp

I'd seen something like this and wanted one, then saw this new Gravity model and jumped at it. I'm glad I did, it's much neater than placing a tripod-based stand in front of an amp and more compact on small stages. Nothing to trip over! And it won't tip or get kicked over, plus the position you set is where it stays for the whole gig. It can mount from the top or side of the amp, even underneath. The bright green trim isn't to my taste but you don't notice it from off-stage. It folds up to a compact size for transport or storage. Uses strong metal for most of it and the machining is accurate. It can take a couple of tries to get the exact position you want and you can adjust the position of the mic on the arm, but not the length the arm extends from the clamp. There is some play in the mechanism but in use the spring tension prevents rattling. Some of the parts are plastic where you might feel they could be metal, but it helps keep the price very reasonable. After some use I find that some mics make it sag, even an SM57. I feel it should be able to support such a common microphone without difficulty. Even a lighter e906 makes it tip slightly. It won't fall off, but it's not 100% stable. It's also easy to lose one of the knobs and the small parts that help grip the edge of an amp.

The stability is better if you mount it to the top of the amp but not all amps will suit this as it may block the controls.

Its great in principle but....

Its a great design concept but unfortunately the spring mechanism in the unit for clamping onto the amp vibrates and makes noise when the amp is being played. Which for live gigs probably isnt a problem but for recording is an issue.

Still if i find a way to dampen the unit can and will be very useful.

Worthless on my cabinets and mics

This mic stand don't work my MD421 or WA-14 mics, when using them on an Orange openback 2x12 or a Fender Tweed Deluxe. It just slips and won't stay in place. 30 Euros better spent on a K&M stand or similar.

Great clamp. Well made, works great.

I've already used the larger version on cabinets, and now there's finally a version I can use on the Combo amps. Fits well to JC120, VOX, Fender, etc.

It does take some adjustments and getting used to for optimum Mic positioning, but that is quickly learned. I ordered some more and they are perfect with my E606 & E906 Mics.

Pratique pour libérer de la place au sol

Super petit "pied" micro.

Wow what a nice piece of equipment, super smart solution. Have my amp on my desk (small room) but keeps the mic in place pretty well!
