DW 5100 Drummer Throne

I got this throne for use in the studio and while practicing. The throne is completely silent, easy to adjust and feels like it?s going to last for ever. In addition, the price of this product is quite low considering its high quality. First of all, the whole throne is very solid and improved my balance since I mostly play with my heel up or using my ankles. Furthermore, it feels like it puts no strain on my back even after long periods of playing (more than 4 hours). The adjustments are rock solid too. I haven?t readjusted anything during the last two months and I play every day. This is a great advantage for me as I don?t have to think of anything but drumming since I bought it. The seat is very comfortable and I really enjoy the not to hard not to soft feel of the foam plus the good...
Tama HT530BC Drum Throne

Was thinking about buying that Pearl throne in the same price range, but those stitches seemed uncomfortable so I went with this one, which was recommended to me by almost every drummer I asked. I am a beginner and have used a wooden stool before I bought this. My back used to hurt me but on this throne you can sit for hours and you still feel comfortable and pain free. !!!! This is the velour material of the seat. You also have a leather option. Now, if you think you smell a lot and you sweat, I would recommend the leather version which isn't absorbent and can be cleaned easily. Hell, I sometimes smell too so in that case I put a towel over the throne :D G R E A T C H O I C E !!!!
Tama HT730B Ergo Rider

I previously had a standard drum throne but I wanted to get something that would help me with my double bass playing. I found that rounded thrones held me back and I wanted to try more of a saddle or bicycle style throne. I tried out a few different Mapex and Pearl thrones but I found that the saddle was too large and harsh and made playing uncomfortable after half an hour or so of playing. The Ergo Rider is the perfect medium between comfortable and the saddle shape I was looking for. My double bass drumming has improved due to this throne. It is a monster of a throne and as comfortable as any normal chair. Tama make the best hardware and this is no exception. My only criticism of this throne is that it is very very heavy although it is the most sturdy and strong thing in my entire set...
K&M 14032

I'm happy with my purchase. The backrest attaches to the throne securely, and offers a good range of adjustment both up and down, and forward and backwards. It helps with my posture, whilst at the drumkit. I have experienced some back problems recently and the back rest definitely seems to help. I already had a K&M throne so just needed the backrest. Even adding the price of the throne, it is still competitive with other brands. It doesn't fold down, so you need to carry the backrest and seat together, or dismantle and assemble these for every gig. Overall, I would recommend it.
Gibraltar B9608 Drum Throne Leg Base
Based on 7 reviews
I bought this drum throne base as I needed a throne that could be set higher. It is very sturdy and the height adjustment range is perfect if you're on the taller side. Pros: It has a sturdy construction, a decent height adjustment range, and does a good job of staying where it's set. Cons: It does not fit properly with Mapex or Millenium seats. The shaft is somewhat narrower than the slots on those seats, resulting in a very loose fit. However, that is to be expected as it is not marketed as compatible with other brands.
Gravity FD SEAT 1

Great quality feel to it, and very strong/sturdy. Looks amazing too. The adjustment mechanisms are sleek and well designed. However, that strength comes at the cost of being a little heavier than other stools I've used. The feet also splay out wider than usual. Lastly, this is a tall stool - I'm 1.78m, and I need to set the Gravity FD to it's lowest height. Despite these remarks, I think it is still the best stool in the 40 - 100⬠price range, and it feels like it's going to last for years.
Tama HT741B Drum Throne

This throne is exquisitely designed and built to exceed professional standards. The feel and fit are uncompromising. Hats off to TAMA engineering! This throne is worth every penny of the price and after using it for a few weeks, to me, worth it's weight in gold! The engineering and build quality are world class. The 4 rubber feet provide excellent stability. This TAMA drum throne is engineered to similar standards. The back adjustment is beautiful. You can dial it in exactly as you desire. I give this TAMA drum throne my highest recommendation.
Gibraltar 9608MW2T Drum Throne Saddle
Based on 5 reviews
I like this throne very much. Nicely contoured seat provides support in all the right places, and is comfortable for long periods of use. I really like the fabric - never gets too sweaty, and the texture of the fabric means no slipping or sliding. Sturdy legs, solid construction, and feels like it will last for years. If I have a criticism - and its a very, very minor one - its that the clamp mechanism holding the seat to the seat post does loosen and needs to be tightened from time to time. However, this really is a non-issue and in any case is typical of this type of seat mounting. Overall, great quality, extremely comfortable, will last for many years, and therefore is very good price/quality ratio.
K&M 14033

I'm massively impressed with this stool. Delivery was within just a few days (from Germany to northern England), packaging was first class and the stool itself (I bought the stool and backrest together) superbly built. Strong, comfortable, much more substantial and professional than I expected, even at the admittedly high price. I can't see that I'll ever need to buy another, or at least not for very many years, so ultimately possibly even a bargain! The stool is very adjustable, well padded and comfortable and perfectly suitable even for this tall double bass player (6' 4''). I bought it really because my back has been hurting playing without proper seating, but I'm independently told that I'm playing better for having it, presumably because I am comfortable and properly seated....
K&M 14060 Multi Purpose Stool

This stool seems high quality at first, but after a year or so of (not so heavy) use, it is showing signs of deterioration already. Leather is ruptured in the front (thankfully very tiny hole and barely visible) The rubber feets always come off, I am thinking of gluing them in place. The screw handle to adjust the angle of the seat requires tremendous amount of force to really hold the thing in place All in all, easy to install (does require tools) and does the thing, even better with the backrest K&M 14032 !
