Premium product for mid-level pricing
I have been blown away by how well made and finished the Catalina Club (Gloss Crimson Burst) is. The sound is warm and vintage and competes with drums at significantly higher price points. It is receiving praise from experienced drumming friends.
The only negative was a small wood chip inside the bass drum but thankfully this was just off the bearing edge so will no affect the seating of the heads or sound. I have just filled it with wood filler and a very light sanding for aesthetic reasons more than anything else.
After 3 years of playing a E-Kit this is my first ever acoustic set and I am in love! I use it for personal recording practice (and hopefully gigging).
