Great guitar for the money and much more

I like clean jazzy sounds with distinctive attack full of sweetness, which I usually try to get with a Gibson ES 135 and a Fender Blues Junior amp. Surprisingly this affordable Gretsch, (which I bought as a second guitar, especially for traveling), is ready for these sounds right out of the box! In particular the P90 and the mid positions shine. Furthermore, construction looks good and for me, it has the right size, weight & neck. Only the fingerboard at the beginning feels a bit rough, with an awkward color. However, as soon you listen to the sound it becomes your favorite guitar!

Glorious Gretsch for modest cash.

Funtastic guitar and divine playability, just absolutely love this guitar. For a modest outlay you will have a semi-pro guitar. No problem on stage and just as fitting for home ax grinding lulling ones neighbours into luscious rock stupor with such dulcet tones they'll be banging the walls but only to request for you to KEEP playing.

To sum up; Finish & looks are great, P90 is simply sublime, to be honest not really feeling the same about the Broad Tron i.e. it just needs more oomph, lacking a little volume, but nothing a pedal boost can't sort, may change it at a later date but happy with it for now.

Highly recommended.

Great value, good sound.

Features: Basic controls, one volume, one tone, but it doesn't need anything else

Sound: Resonates well acoustically. P90 is fine, Broadtron humbucker is a little under-powered. G-string intonation a little off, needs to be tuned a little flat.

Quality: Surprisingly good considering the price. Nicely made and very well finished but some frets need a polish.

Overall a very good learners or practice guitar, will sound better if used with boost pedal/effect
