Gretsch G5422G-12 Electromatic WS
12-String electric guitar

The truss rod needed tightening, and the high G octave string had so much tension on it that the peg could barely turn.
I've now replaced the plastic nut for a bone one and cut the slots properly. The plastic thing was a mile off. I've also changed the order of the strings so that the octave sits under the regular, as on a Rickenbacker. For my taste, having the octave above makes it far too loud. Somehow, there's less tension on the high G now, too.
Changing the order of the strings is essential IMO or it's way too 12-stringy.
All in all, a bit of an impulse buy, but it's growing on me.
