Gretsch G9500 Jim Dandy Frontier Stain
Steel-String Guitar

A great small guitar for relaxed at-home playing
While there are surely higher end instruments that offer more tonal shades and projection, I have rated this for what it claims to be: a stylish parlour guitar at a good price.
The neck is very comfortable and smooth. I mainly play electrics and, while this is definitely not an electric neck, the transition between styles isn't jarring or uncomfortable. The body balances wonderfully on the knee and allows for a natural or relaxed seated position when playing as the slim form is unobtrusive.
The sound is bright and clear - as is typical of parlours. It won't do a bassy rumble but has cutting brilliant that really sings. The volume is perfect for home practice without burning any bridges with the neighbours.
Aesthetically, there is a nice vintage look that makes it a pleasant piece of objet d'art when not being played.
