A fun toy

I wasn't expecting much because of the price but it was very much worth it. It stands by my bed so when i want to play a little i dont need to take my electric bass out of its case, plug it into the amp and stuff just to play like 5-10 minutes so the acoustic bass is very useful for my lazy self.

Wow!

I set up guitars as a guitar tech and this instrument played so well out of the box I thought I was dreaming!

No snags on the frets no roughness just needed a drop of lem oil on the fret board.

Finish is satin, lovely.

Had to stretch the strings in but I spent nearly a whole day just thrashing this bass and working out the settings on the pre amp for different tones.

This was my lads first bass guitar and he loved it Xmas day

So worth the money and then some

A quality practice Acoustic Bass at an introductory price!

The first impression was it was shipped securely - double-boxed. After removing the guitar from the boxes and removing the protective foam bag the guitar really impresses. It will make an impression on a new student or as a gift. The craftsmanship of my guitar was impeccable - binding, joining, the finish are as good as higher priced guitars. The fingerboard is gorgeous and the frets were smooth! The strings are a step up from factory strings. The neck was joined to the body precisely and the action was excellent out of the box and because it was done properly the saddle has room to lower the action even more if you dare (basses have thicker strings remember) I can't comment on the truss rod because I did not have to adjust the bow of the neck, but it gives the neck the needed support. Finally, the Fishman pickup system was an unexpected surprise - not a generic pickup system as I had expected. The Snake cable works fine plugged into my Bass Amp and the guitar. The mahogany top with turtle shell pic guard is gorgeous. And most important, besides how it looks, is how it sounds. A wonderful tone, a little softer than other guitars, but the electronics allow you to increase the volume as needed. To keep the shipping costs affordable (overseas) I ordered my guitar without a case or gigbag. This is an excellent practice Bass or to use in small venues alongside other musicians.

You get what you pay for

Pros -- Cheap, looks amazing, the sound is really decent, and the acoustic volume is adequate, especially if you are playing with a pick.

Cons -- The craftmanship is quite poor. The tuners are low quality, the action and intonation aren't good (and you can't do much to fix them on an acoustic instrument), and i had a problem with the nut, my D string kept coming off, so i had to file the nut a few days after purchase.

Overall -- It's great for jamming with a friend, or practising at home. However, I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for something more serious, like recording or playing a live show.

Balance between price and quality is sick! (In good meaning)

The bass is great, for such low price it sounds great, both plugged and unplugged. The only trouble I had is the quality of strings: had to change them after 2 months of playing, but after doing that the instrument became even cooler. 1 year of using it and no problems at all! ;)

Great semi-acoustic bass

This is my first semi-acoustic bass, so I wasn't sure what to expect but I am very happy! The sound is very nice and bright, both acoustic and amplified, and the bass doesn't fall out of tune quickly, I don't even need to tune it every time I start playing, except when it has been sunny because I live in an appartment with a lot of windows and sometimes the direct sun heats up the strings. The size of the bass is very comfortable for me, I was not used to the big 'belly' because I only used to play electric, but it did not take long for me to get used to it. I am 1.63 m tall so if you're afraid it'll be too big for you: it probably isn't, and if you are tall you'll be fine as well. The bass is nice and solid, my cats sometimes run into it when they are playing and it hasn't fallen over completely yet but it has survived them uptil now, so I'm confident that it won't break easily. And of course, the bass also looks very nice. It's a great product for a great price!

Fair enough

I needed a back up acoustic bass and here I found what I was looking for. Warm, vibrating sound, beautiful instrument. The tuner is not particularly helpful as the screen is not bright enough. I should have asked to have it set up. It arrived very quickly with ups, very well packed with two fancy stickers. I would appreciated a manual.

Perfect for the job

Really can not fault this considering the price. The bass works great plugged and unplugged.

Fantastic

Fantastic acoustic bass, not just for the price, but fantastic overall. No problems at all with the finish, up to now stays in tune. Fantastic tuner, jack and XLR output. That's it, a fantastic acoustic bass.
