Too good to be true

At first I didn't like the tone. But thereafter I started to like it and now it's like a benchmark for my other guitars. I put 12's strings, because it's Jazz guitar, it has to have 12's and now sounds even better. Unfortunately with 12's strings it's not possible to have good intonation and use the additional tension bar on the bridge, so I bypassed it and everythings looks and feels OK. During the period I have it (more than 6 months) I had two issues - the volume pot for the two pickups unscrewed and I had to screw it back, the other is that two times the input jack inscrewed. However it's not a big deal, because I mainly use it at home and have the tools, but it quite questions me wether I need to carry tools with me if I use it outside more often.

BigTone

Just received my Bigtone yesterday. Let it sit a day to get to room temp. Today I unpacked it and was happy with this great looking guitar. As I checked it over I noticed that the trem/ bigsby was so far from being centered that the high E string was almost off the fretboard. Ugh... Return it or re-position it myself? Can't be played this way. Spent the day on it doing it myself because I know it will be right and there is no guarantee I will get a better one next time. 5/16" off from being centered throwing everything out of position. How does that leave the factory? Where is the quality control?

That said, it does sound and look great and I'm keeping it. I do like the guitar, but Wow...

A real bairgain

Straight out of the box, this guitar looks, feels, plays and sounds just perfect. And that’s not taking the price in concideration, because the price is actually «too low» for a cuality guitar like this.

It tunes perfectly and after two days it stays tuned. The intonation is perfect as it tunes over all the frets.

The neck feels perfect and solid as my arm glides up and down without a problem.

The tuners are firm and solid, the frets are great too. The Bigsby Tremolo is brand new to me, so I don’t have any comparison.

It came with a case, which I must say is pretty solid too.

My need for a guitar like this is fairly low, but I’ve already used it on one of the songs for an upcoming album I’m working on.

Guess it all comes down to this; If you’re in deep need of a hollow body guitar, than you really should go for the Harley Benton. If you’re anything like me (upgrading and expanding the collection), then don’t wait a minute longer than you have to.

This guitar is the perfect bargain.

A great guitar for the money

I have only had the guitar for a few but I've found it hard to put down as it's so easy to play. I spent some time looking at YouTube reviews before buying and was impressed by the sounds that many of the reviewers were getting out of it so I decided the guitar would probably sui my needs. Amplified the tone is warm and jazzy and while the pickups may not be the best they are more than adequate. Acoustically , the guitar is a lot louder than you might expect and after changing the strings to flat wounds I'm still getting a nice jazzy sound even played acoustically. For the price the guitar is a steal, well worth the money. The only slight criticism I have is that the strings are difficult to change and it takes a while to master the technique but with a little perseverance it becomes easier.

All in all if you're looking for an archtop guitar but don't want to spend a fortune this will be for you. Check out the YouTube reviews and see for yourself.

Strange trem arrangement

The bar in the trem unit needs to be removed to relieve the angle of the strings to the bridge.

This guitar is amazing!!!

Why buying a guitar solely because of its fame and name, let this amazing guitar gain its own place among among the giants, great instrument, I only changed the wound strings for unwound 12 gauge and voila!!!
