Harley Benton Crunch Distortion Reviews
Great sound for the price.
In different combos sounds differently. The name is fully justified. If the full twist knob gain, and more than half of the tone knob, you can get a very juicy quality distortion. If I had listened to the pedal, not looking at her, you would not believe that it costs 30 euros!
Again quality isn,t great but for the price it's okay. Nice clone of the MI Audio Crunch Box , sounds like a Marshall JCM800 in a box. Lots of gain in a litthe box.
Good Distortion Pedal
Casing:
I tried other Harley Benton pedals before, so I was a little worried what quality i could exspect with this one. But if you exspect a cardboard box pedal you are more than wrong. The pedal is built of solid metal and won´t break any time soon. (Unless you crush it on purpose, but why would you do that? ;) ) Knobs do their job as well but nothing special here. Only letdown is that you get just 1 tone controll knob. Some might say that this is not enough but for me one tone knob is sufficient.
Sound:
Great sound! I mostly use it for crunch sounds but if you turn up the gain to a 3 o clock position you can also get heavy distortion sounds.
Good standard distortion
Very good for standard distortion pedal with a cool 90's crunch sound but you can use this with high gain settings to make more heavy metal sound. I must say I really like the true-by-pass and it is very useful because there is no tone lost!

This is one of my favorit pedal, you can use it for all types of guitar, very nice crunch sound, also appropriate for studio working. I recorded 3 guitar lines with it while my rock group took a studio session, for each song.
Crunchy
Too crunchy for me. But it does what it supposed to do.
