A guitar that sounds as if it should be at least £600
I was not expecting miracles from this guitar to tell you the truth but as usual Harley Benton amazes. How do they do it? It sounds great as an acoustic and with the pickups. The finish is perfect and the set up out of the box is really good (I just had to change the strings for my favourite set). All in all you cannot get this quality for the price anywhere else.
Surprisingly good.
So I just unboxed this guitar and after very close inspection, I can only say this build quality goes far beyond the price you pay. You definitely feel as though you're playing something much more costly. Finish is perfect, fretwork is very good though a good fret polish is needed; action and intonation are just about spot on. It plays very well and it may not be a high end instrument but it definitely gives me the tones only a resonator can (good enough to record convincingly) at a fraction of the normal cost. The only downside are the tuners which are quite stiff and will be replaced, but they still work well enough for use at home. Be careful which shipping method you choose, I inadvertantly chose UPS instead of DHL...it arrived within 3 days to Canada but the charges were about $40 higher AND they hit me for an additional $112 CDN for duty! They are vultures. I would rather have waited the extra week, I could have bought another HB with the difference. Still, happy with all 4 of my HB instruments and will surely wind up with a couple more, I'll just be sure to double check the shipping method at checkout.
Price reflected in quality
I don't regret this purchase. It's an extremely inexpensive option for a resonator, and it is fun to play. The tuners are bad. Sometimes there are dead spots, sometimes very hard to turn. The bridge doesn't seem to hold the strings very well as once in a while they kind of snap back into place, obviously throwing the tuning off and sending me back to the horrid tuners. The resonator cone itself makes a buzz when played. This may be an easy fix, ie loose screws, but I haven't opened it up. The input jack was loose when it arrive and had twisted the solder connection loose. Easy fix but poor quality control. Other than that it's great... pickups sound decent. I actually do enjoy playing it though and for the price I'm pretty happy.
Amazing value, a solid well made instrument. I would not hesitate to purchase again
Lovely but quiet
This is a a peachy guitar. Looks amazing, sounds great & plays easy. Really quiet compared to most acoustic resonators. More like an electric guitar so it needs amplification
Harley Benton Resoking
I always wanted a resonator guitar I bought this one and absolutely love it ,it's good looking and great sounding and a perfect size for me,am proud to own it.
Cool guitar to experiment with
If you're looking for a guitar case, the Epiphone wildcat case fits this almost perfectly.
Resoking
Love this guitar, acoustic sounds great but it's a beast once it's plugged in. Highly recommended. I may have to buy another reso
Poor quality control or none!!
Only one pick up worked and one volume. Tone knob and second volume did nothing. Very sharp frets and rusty strings. The dots on the side of the guitar were not positioned accurately and the binding on the body of the guitar has flaws. Good looking guitar, which is a real shame because of the quality control.

This thing is is amazing!
Love the sound!
For the price point, you couldn't find anything to compare!
It would give a good run against most mid-range major brand names as well!
Feels good in the hand, fat (baseballey)neck reminds me of an older Tele.
What resonance!
Love it!
