Love love love. Colour is more yellow than the picture but if you look it up on YouTube it shows you a true colour. Fab guitar though as all my harley bentons are
Not What I Expected
I've been buying inexpensive guitars to modify. I thought, OK, I'll give this one a looking over. First off, right out of the box, it was ready to go. No set up necessary for a quick play and opinion. My first negative was the tuning. Dang, this thing wouldn't tune up to save my soul. The tuners were garbage. I replaced them the next day. Then I said, I'm swapping the electronics and pickups. Nope, didn't do it. This thing has Rockwells, which I'm not a fan of, but these are going strong. Great sound and flexibility. The finish was clean and spotless. Knobs have the right resistance for me. Frets are smooth and clean. Overall, I'm not modifying it. I put the tuners on, that's it. So, for around 250 bucks, I've got a pretty decent sounding guitar. Would I gig with it? Probably not until I get really used to controlling three volume knobs with only a three way switch. Complex, but fun at the same time. For the price, it's a great guitar. I'm having so much fun with it. No regret purchasing this device. The gold looks great against the off white paint. If I get bored and want a challenge, I may swap the pickups and put in a five way switch. Until then, no changes. Solid guitar.
Great cool axe!
I've been wanting this for a long time and believe me, I wasn't disappointed! The looks alone are impressive, combine that with no sharp fret ends, great sound, tuners hold up ok, feels very comfortable and no neck dive!! I own 7 Harley Benton guitars and this is possibly my favourite!
Another damaged guitar
6th guitar to be sent back in 3 months. Arrived with crack to binding, fretboard edge sanded down so far it was diagonal on one edge only, multiple scratches, scratched pickups, scuffed/ scratched down to bare wood near neck joint, scuffed head stock, filthy fretboard, wonky misaligned frets, paint problem looked like burnt bubbling paint, Jack problem - cable gets stuck and won't come out, scuffs, scratched, bashed, dents etc. Quality control card says its been thoroughly inspected, it took me 2 seconds to see half of the issues, so quality control is clearly not working or doesn't exist. More issues but I can't be bothered wasting my time on their terrible quality issues anymore.
Not as good quality as the other 3 guitars I bought
Superb bargain
I have to admit I've never actually played a genuine Gibson SG so can't provide an accurate comparison, but in saying that, this is a sublime guitar. Deep and dirtier than my other guitars, and just what i needed. Tuning keys are solid, all electrics responsive, and the finish and set up immaculate. All for just over £200? I'm sure the purists and virtuoso's out there would disagree but are we being fleeced by really expensive guitars? Buy this.
It's snow white!!
Bought this because I was looking for 3 Humbuckers and thought this was beautiful. The way the gold hardware, black knobs, and white pick guard went so well together with the ivory body and neck it was irresistible. I ordered it, and it came in a timely manor. Imagine my total surprise on unboxing that it's FN snow white, as white as the pick guard. So, did anyone else get a white one when they thought they were getting Ivory. Totally bummed and disappointed. I hope they will take it back.
Beautiful guitar, arrived well set up, and a joy to play. Recommended
S.G 3 humbuckers
Tuned it,plugged it in. Not a bad guitar. Had to turn knobs up to 10 but it has that S.G sound. I'm going to put in different pickups to see what happens. All up,guitar plus new pickups I've spent $760 .I'll be shopping here again.
Stunner
I was pleasantly surprised how diverse this SG is .... its my go to guitar 🎸
