Cherry Bomb!

Super cool guitar! Not expensive, but sounds great and looks great! All the parts look awesome, the quality of the guitar is good, especially for the beginners!

Great guitar for a good price.

I ordered a guitar for rehearsals and concerts, the guitar came very quickly, there are no defects, the condition is excellent, the packaging is excellent, the sound is excellent for all 200evro, all electronics work clearly. In general, do not find fault, a very good tool for sane money. I recommend it.

My DC Custom arrived today and honestly I was as blown away as the other reviewers. It was double boxed and arrived in perfect condition (outer box wasn't as lucky). No cosmetic defects that I can find. Strings are OK and I will replace them ASAP but nothing that will stop me from picking up a few more of their guitars. Plugged it into a Marshall and I was surprised how good it did sound.

Absolutely worth it to grab one (or a few) at this value and quality!

SG Custom

I own a lot of guitars and I bought this out of curiosity and also wanted an SG model guitar.

Have to say I am totally impressed and will probably buy another soon👍

Great guitar!

Right out of the box it plays awesome right away, after playing it for about an hour i think this is some of the best guitars i've ever played and i've played them all, from Gibson to Fender, BC Rich, G&L, Jackson, Washburn, Dean, Schecter, you name it. If you want to compete with all these 'great' brands you can only produce really high quality guitars and this is one of them! The neck is awesome, the pickups are fabulous, 24 frets are easy to reach with the carved body shape, i can not say enough good things about this guitar! This is no 'starters' guitar, i'm gonna play this on stage, my band plays modern melodic death/ black metal, which is pretty easy to play with this guitar, i highly recommend it!

A Monster Quality Guitar

There isn't anything about this guitar that I don't like. It just feels right from the moment you pick it up to the feeling you get playing it, and the reverence you give it putting it away in the case. I know that sound flowery, but every word of it is true.

You hear people get critical of it because of the neck dive. This is a pet peeve of mine when Gibson made incredibly heavy guitar bodies, no neck dive there, and then they tried to lighten them up by making the body thinner, only to be met with jeers saying they were cheapening up the guitars.

So along comes a solid mahogany body that is so light you could play with it all night and experience zero fatigue, and on top of that they give you a neck with 24 frets, yes, two whole scales so you can hit that high E in your solos. So, what does that give you, but a long neck that is thin enough for playing ease, and a body you can gig with easily; it's perfect.

Then the pickups are the LAF's which are fashioned after the Gibson PAF series which have incredible warm tones for clean settings, and yet give you enough of a bite for distortion. If you want to go heavier metal then an HAF pickup guitar is the one for you. My CST-24T is a dream with the HAF's which by the very nature of high gain pickups they are going to be darker for the clean tones, but really make a pedal explode. Then in the wisdom of Harley Benton guitars they give you the coil split, which cleans them up wonderfully. Okay back to the DC Custom cherry.

I noticed by opening the back-access cover that there are two of the four conductor wires joined together so they are ready to be split coils. (At least the one I received in late 2020 had them) So if you want to add a mini switch, or a push pull pot you can easily have that option as well. The LAF; s sound perfect to me. That last thing I would do is consider a pickup swap.

One thing that really deserves special mention is the way this guitar stays so well in tune. It is not uncommon to open the case and find the guitar is still in tune.

Here is an observation I made in the way HB cuts the nut. They still have the thick nut but only create a trough on just the beginning of the nut. The trailing edge of the nut overall slopes downwards strongly, and what that does is create a situation in that the trailing edge of the nut never touches the string. It's an ingenious way of eliminating the nut bind typical of Gibson guitars due to the sharp edge of the nut as the string leaves the back side that binds when doing string bends. The same system is on my 450SC GT P90 and it stays incredibly well in tune. (Yes, even the G string) Why didn't Gibson think of these things?

I guess this is getting lengthy so I should wrap it up. A couple things worth mentioning is the beauty of the solid mahogany body and neck; the grain is incredible. The thin fast neck that makes playing with ease a constant. The little tapers on the edges of the body adding all the more to the comfort, and the number one thing is the action. It sits closes to the frets without any buzz. The tuners that are on their work fine, no need to swap them out either. I find a lot of people think because of the low price that they are going to need to do a lot of upgrades; it just isn't so. Don't go buying any gear to do upgrades. Play the guitar first, you will be shocked at the level of quality for this kind of money it's nuts. I'm on my 8th HB guitar now with my new order. What Harley Benton has done is give the vast majority of us a model and style of guitar that we wouldn't normally be able to afford. So, I went nuts rounding out my collection with styles that I gave up dreaming of, and now have. It's like a kid in a candy shop. I'll take one of those, and one of those, and ah yes, two of those. Highly recommended. Love Harley Benton guitars.

Beautiful SG style

Pretty much perfect out of the box. Nice set-up and action. All I did was tune it up and start playing. It suffers from neck-dive, but what SG doesn't? That's going to take some getting used to, I'll probably add some ballast. Grover tuners are smooth. Finish is beautiful. I found one little bubble on the finish. Tone is nice and fat. I'm ready to start doing my Angus Young impressions.

Channel your inner Angus

I'll preface this review by saying I'm not a great guitar player. Middling on a good day. I've always wanted an SG, but couldn't justify the price tag. Once I discovered Harley Benton, I knew I had to have this. Love the shape and style, even though its not an exact clone. Always wanted humbuckers and I am not disappointed. Great crunchy sound compared to my single coil guitar. Strings are close to the frets and it plays nice IMO. Finish looks great, slight wood grain visible underneath. Seems to hold its tuning well, have it at C# standard ATM and no buzz or rattle from the strings. Came out of the box ready to play and all in good order. The only minor complaint I might raise is the single tone knob, where as other models have more. But sometimes simple is better. Would recommend to any other middling guitarists who are on the fence. All in all a great guitar at a good price point.

Great guitar for the price

Is amazing how a simple guitar design can be so effective ( no wonder this SG like guitars have been around forever) it feels great and sounds good, the guitar finish is excellent . Some neck dive but I fixed it by repositioning the upper strap button to the tip of the upper horn. I recommend this guitar to anyone

Great guitar!!

I ordered this on a monday and had it by wed. All the way from Germany to New Jersey in no time. Great shipping. As for the guitar it self,it is awesome. All I needed was to tune it up ( I think I would need to be tuned up after thatr trip ) and it was ready to rock. Its alittle lite in the neck but thats not too bad. The pups sound great. No fret buzz or sharp frets. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Real easy to play. Havent put it down since she arrived. Get one Now!

Электрогитара Cherry Harley Benton DC-Custom- It's

Recently acquired this wonderful tool. I want to say that the performance of every detail of this guitar deserves special respect and admiration. Playing it is very comfortable. She performs all the tasks that I set for myself. Technically, I was very pleased. Design at the highest level, in the hands lies ergonomically. As for the sound, I was pleasantly surprised by the high-quality tone settings and a very long sustain. This guitar can serve not only as a tool for an initial acquaintance with the instrument, but also for the performance of already professional tasks. This is because the approach to playing this guitar is truly top notch. I use it at home with the Fender Champion 40 combo amplifier. This is a fantastic combination. And yes. I am very pleased with the purchase. I advise everyone to pay attention to this guitar Cherry Harley Benton DC-Custom.

Excellent guitar for the price

I've had this thing for a couple of months now to make sure I really got to know it. Won't go into great detail about everything, but will say in every category this thing nails it! Fit and finish are flawless. No sharp fret ends, VERY smooth actually. Intonation and neck relief spot on. Great sounding pickups for the money. Superb platform if you're looking to do upgrades, but in my opinion, it's not necessary. Killer guitar for under $200USD.
