Great guitar especially for the price

The guitar played pretty well out of the box. I've done a few things to increase the playability but nothing extreme especially for the price point. Definitely happy with my purchase.

This "Out SG'S ALL of my sg's!!!"

Ware to start....Ok.....Little Stuff : The Gold & Black Mirror finish is INCREDIBLE...(But it's a Fingerprint MAGNET.....Keep a SOFT Buffing Cloth in you're Case.....Problem over....The Stainless Sieel Frets are UNBEATABLR .....Silky/Solid....All in order HERE.....Neck Feels & plays wonderfully.....It was IN TUNE 1.5 steps down outta the Box.....But everybody knows "Rules of Shipping" (I Hope).....NOW "Tesla Split-able" Humbuckers....One word....GREAT!!!! SOLID Gibson Chrunch Flat out....Cleans up BEAUTIFULLY 5/7....And single coil goes all "Strat On Ya" (Major Complement......Now I wanna try Testlas on a BUNCH od my other Gee Tarrs ......No Squeal's....Respond BEAUTFULLY too ant MINUTE CHANGE IN Setting.on the Guitar.....Everything is LOVELY!!!! I'll even keep the Stock KNOBS.....Decause they LOOK GREAT!.....Purrrfectly Balanced.....No Neck diving here.......I want ANOTHER ONE!!! Maybe the Shell Pink One???? I would TOTALY Recommend This to another FRIEND......And have me put another one on MY LIST......And as for PRICE??????? Look out Gibson!!! You're Total LACK OF Giving a CRAP about you're customers is showing...... And I could Get 5 if theese (ANNNNDDDD A Les Paul) For the Price of ONE Crummy Gibsion SG Standard.......David Velesques is coming over Later.....A hundred bucks sez he jeaves here with one on Order.....If he Get's a Shell Pink One Theres gonna Be Trouble!!!!! Ridiculously Awesome!

The Harley Benton DC-DLX Gotoh Black guitar is a beautiful instrument. It plays like butter right out of the box. In fact it plays better than my '94 name brand guitar! The pickups sound awesome and compete with much more expensive types. The gold hardware against the black looks absolutely stunning. If you are thinking of purchasing this guitar you will not regret it. It is absolute perfection! This is my 3rd Harley Benton and it is another winner!

Hard to find anything wrong...

I have a very expensive guitar of this same style and color schema from a very popular guitar brand. I had decided to give this a Go and compare the 2 guitars. I purchased this guitar and literally got this delivered in a week in the USA. I did a quick setup to the neck and action then gave it the old intonation tweak. Suddenly I realized that this thing is a seamless work of art. I looked over this thing with a close eye just looking for an imperfection in the paint, clear, binding or anything. I totally came up dry. It is just beautiful. The Tesla pickups that are installed just blew my mind. The aggressive tones I could get from this guitar were just mind blowing. Then like the twist of a knob, I could back off of them a bit and just dig in deep with some of the best blues tones. You could not only hear the magic but you could feel it. For the artist that wants the luxury feel of a beautiful instrument coupled with the tonality of a well designed instrument, this is your match you have been searching for.

Disappointed too heavy for an sg guitar.

Tesla pickups are good but not these. Guitar well made but quite a boat anchor. Very disappointed. Weighs heavier than my les Paul . The body is much thicker than the great Harley Benton dc custom line I own.
