Almost GOAT
First impression: wow! It's a gorgeous guitar. Very beautiful from each point of view. It stays in tune always, no matter what you do with it. You can practice Hotel California solo for hours and even 3rd string would stay in tune. Thanks to the locking tuners and TUSQ nut. Frets are awesome, too - they are high and smooth, it's a pleasure to play bends and vibrato on it. And as far as it is stainless steel you can be sure they would last. Sound is decent. It's not perfect - maybe pickups should be replaced with some fancy DiMarzio, or maybe I am just not very good at sound engineering with my gear. Minor issue, I reckon it is solveable by just adding a little bit of gain. What I did not like is when humidity went down in late autumn the frets started to point out from sides of the neck, so I had to sand them flat. The rest was perfect - it's comfortable, plays like a dream, sounds fine and not so expensive. The next time I would consider buying roasted neck option
amazing guitar for the money. the only down side is that it's a little noisy but it's easy fix. totally recommend this one to everyone
Wonderful "first" electric guitar for the price.
I haven't played the electric guitar for 20 years and meeting again the rock classics and really becoming a fan of Van Halen made me decide to take up the electric guitar again.
I was looking for the best price / quality in a product and this guitar (in my opinion) is unbeatable. Very well packaged and arrived without any problems, it was almost perfectly in tune! And the humbucker, is the first time I play a guitar with Humbuckers pick up and this guitar delivery that overdrive tones from the 80's and cleans that you can perfect play some blues or even jazz. I didn't try to play with the push/pull function for single-coil/humbuckers yet, but until now, is much more than I deserve being a amateur player.
If you have the money, I highly recommend this model.
Great Value
It works great as a second guitar. I bought it to upgrade from my first guitar, a really cheap strat, and this has been a great improvement. I enjoy having the two humbuckers but the option of coil splitting is a welcome addition. The grooves cut into the body make for very comfortable playing with a highlight for me being the slight angle to the area where the neck joins the body which allows for easier access to the upper frets. Some very minor defects in construction are to be expected but I personally haven't encountered anything more than a slight bit of dried glue near the top of the neck.
Quality purchase
What can I say. Just stunning and one hell of a deal.
Hey thanks for the gorgeous guitar??!
Came in great shape only had to do minor set up beautiful guitar beautiful looking sounding and playing thank you guys for all you do!!!
This guitar is amazing
The fretboard finish is exceptionally good, there is no buzzing, and the guitar stays in tune. The guitar feels like a more expensive guitar.
The pickups could be cleaner, but I cannot criticize that at this price point.
Great guitar
This guitar has the quality, finish and sound of some of my guitars at three times the price, I really cannot fault it. It is beautifully made, and very comfortable to play. But then that is true of my two other Harley Benton guitars. All in all, a great playing, and great looking, guitar. I couldn't be happier.
Wow
I thought for a long time about buying a Harley Benton, I should've just pushed the button earlier. But this guitar with locking tuners, looks amazing, plays brilliantly straight out the box. I've now spent some time with it setting it up and putting lighter strings on. It is superb.
If there was one thing that could be improved on its the pick ups, but then again I'm comparing with my gibson les paul which cost a few times more dosh.
If you are considering buying but are worried about the quality, dont be, just buy it.
I have bought 3 harley bentons now, this one and 2 basses. My mate having tried this guitar out has also bought 2 and is trying to justify a third to his Mrs.
wow!
I am comparing this guitar to my Washburn N4 and an early Ibanez AS 200, both very nice quality guitars.
All I can say is I am gobsmacked by how good this guitar is, it is just as good as my other guitars.
Maybe the pick ups could be improved upon, but they sound good to me.
Incredible value for money, I`ve ordered a Fusion 111 as well, maybe I will be selling my N4?
