Great potential with some serious flaws
The guitar looks amazing and the neck is one of the best I've ever played. Frets need a bit of polish but fortunately there weren't any sharp ends sticking out.
Unfortunately the one I received had a loose truss rod that would rattle when playing certain notes and chords.
The pickups were very microphonic and would pick up any noise of touching the guitar or using the selector switch.
Also the bridge wasn't aligned with the neck and pickups and the strings weren't aligned above the pole pieces.
Superb quality instrument
I am now lucky enough to now own 3 Harley Benton guitars as well as guitars from Gibson, Charvel and Kramer and since purchasing this it has become my go to instrument, fantastic playability, sound and a top quality instrument for a fantastic price, highly recommended
Sweet
Such a sweet, beautiful, solid guitar.
I'll only point out some "could-be-better" things, everything else that i don't mention is described by the headline:
- frets were really scratchy, used 2k grit sandpaper and fret rubber, now they are fine (no mirror like polish, but quite smooth)
- pushpull tone knob is wiggly wobbly
- action was okay, but lowered it for personal taste. i also had to lower the pickups, but they become tilted then
- intonation was pretty off
- unplugged the guitar doesnt project much
- the nut is tad too high or nut slots should be deeper. also the slots for unwrapped strings are way to wide.
Also i dont know maybe im weird, but this paintjob/body is sexy. The round curves and smooth shine on that matt paint - damn.
Awesome guitar!
I never thought I would like tl style guitars but these are really awesome. I'd rather play Harley Benton guitars now.
fantastic for the money
the specs on this thing are mindblowing for the value. good locking tuners, solid bridge, roasted maple neck and stainless steel frets and the Roswell pickups actually sound pretty great (improved from the fusion II line).
in general this thing is great. ive performed with this live many times and it hasnt let me down at all. easily one of the most playable and gig-able instruments ive ever owned out of the box
