Harley Benton 1x12" Speaker

Amazing value, and nicely constructed.

Compared with Marshall (£189) or Orange (£220) this cabinet is unbelievable, wheels would have been nice, but that seems a bit negative when you consider this houses a Vintage 30 speaker.....

Good Sound, well build and cheap, what do you want more?

What more can I say, you pay less than a new celestion Vintage 30 speaker alone and you get a fully assembled cab with it?

The sound is as good as any other 112 cab with the same speaker and because this one is openback, you get quite a soundstage for its size.

Cab is made of decent multiplex and the tolex looks sturdy, even the wiring inside is very well done. BUY NOW !

Great speaker

fI bought this speaker for home use as my 4x12 needed to stay at the rehearsal space due to transport problems, and even though I had read some great reviews I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was.

Really pleasantly surprised with this little speaker. When I first opened the box the cabinet was more solid than I had hoped for the money. Everything was finished well and had a good weight to it.

When I plugged it in I heard the unmistakable sound of a Vintage 30, after a couple of weeks playing it, it is just getting better. I am now thinking of getting the 2x12 now for smaller pub gigs.

Makes my HT-1R sound huge

Really, how do they manage to get a Vintage 30 in these things for the price??

So far I have used this cab with my Blackstar HT1r combo and an orange micro terror head.

My initial impressions, with the HT1 are that it takes an already great amp and makes it awesome! The bottom end it vastly improved, which is no surprise really given the speaker size difference. The headroom of the clean side seems to have improved slightly as well

With the Orange MT head, once again the low end is low and thumping when used with a ts9 clone, turning this from a decent rock amp to a great rock/hard rock amp.

I mainly play punk/hardcore/metal type stuff and it really suits these styles.

The construction is excellent and I was actually really surprised! The handle and the corner covers look and feel good and there is no flex from the cab when you lift from the handle. I would easily gig with this, only thing that will put gear snobs off is the HB name on the front. i say get over it and give the Harley Benton stuff a try.

Celestion Rocks.

Bought this Little box for home use and for Gigs in small bars with my JCM 800.

First i was disapointed because it sounded very boomy and Boxy and very harsh.

But After a few hours of Playing the speaker is broken in and it sounds very round, clear and smooth highs.

I Even Took it to the Studio because it sounds so much better than my marshall 412 with eminence governor speaker.

I will soon replace it with celestion v30 speaker.

The workmanship on this box is very good, no Dings and dongs, everything is Set up well.

And the best is: the harley benton box with v30 is the Same Price like a v30 speaker without box.

So if you Need a New box, wether its a 1x12, 2x12 or 4x12, make shure you check Out One of the harley benton vintage boxes

For the Price you can't go wrong!!

Amazing!!!

That's really great cab. Especially if you like playing blues. Pleasant, warm sound with good quality and low price make the cab the best choice.

Brilliant

Simple set up, sounds great. I have this connected to an old solid state amp and it sounds brilliant. Good projection, nice bass response and the price is the same as the speaker by itself. The cabinet is sturdy, well made and the white piping make it looks like it cost twice or three times the price. A shure sm57 on this amp would be perfect for recording.

Bang for the buck!

This is a very good cab for the money. Feels sturdy, got a decent size, the corners are metal and the speaker is great. Sounds slightly harsh in the beginning when the speaker is new, but it has already started to soften up slightly after just a few hours of playing. I think it's a keeper.
