Harley Benton HB-20B Reviews
Great for the money
I have been playing this amp for 6 months now and it is really good quality for the monney. When you plug your phone in through the auxillary port there is a bit of buzz and the sound quality is not the best but its playable.
Awesome
It worth all the money!
I would say that this is a valid option if bought as part of bass-bundle or something like that. Price is low, but so as the sound quality coming out of the speaker. It's usable as a bedroom amp, but the size of it, and especially the depth is not that great (which is expected for this speaker size and cabinet).
Aux input and speaker out I find most usable, as the sound there is decent, and it's great for practice. Overall considering the price, this is a usable peace of equipment for practicing through headphones, and if you want to let some sound out just for fun, but don't expect much more from it (if on a budget or in doubt if you will stick to the instrument, this is a decent buy...was my case...otherwise look for something with a bigger speaker and more expensive, I think it will make a significant difference in usability and overall experience).
Pros:
- Lightweight, AUX in, Headphones OUT, decent build quality
Cons:
- Small speaker, lacking depth, speaker not great tone, and burping on higher volume
as a beginner
this amp is good , beside practicing home , i took it to jam with friends , and it was clean / loud i do really appreciate it
GREAT
GREAT for this money it's totaly ROCK
Gets more than expected done!
I bought this Amp as part of the HB JB22 package. I got to tell you, i was super surprised by the quality and the versatility this amp has to offer. best value for money amp product!
Nice practice amp
a little practice amp, nothing bad to say about it. for what it is and for what it mcost, is very good.
happy to use it
i got it and it was it is awesome
the sound was clear
Great for a beginner
I got this together with the JB-20 as my first bass rig as a guitarist looking to explore the lower register.
This is a pretty good amp for a beginner. The sound is decent (and I think in my case a little bit held back by the pickups in my guitar). I was surprised to find that when used with a normal guitar, it produces a nice round and warm jazzy tone. The headphone output and aux in options as well as the built in compressor are a nice addition.
Two things that bug me about the amp are that
1) the eco mode (which can't be disabled as far as I know) demands a signal from the instrument input to turn on and will turn off after 30 minutes without a signal. This makes it less viable to use as a speaker for just the aux in.
2) the speaker pops loudly when turning off the power making it necessary to turn down the volume every time.
Overall, it's a great little amp for practice and beginners and I'm sure it'll last me a good while until I maybe decide to get more serious with bass.
Good for the money
I bought this amplifier in a hurry when I needed a small quick practice amp, and considering the amount of money I paid for it, it is quite decent.
By no means whatsoever is this a great amplifier, but it has all the features that you'd need from a practice amp, and the AUX input and earphone jack are nice features for practice amps. I don't know if it is this amplifier in general, or if I got a lemon, but it does not handle the low B very well.
A few months of regularly using this amplifier at a low volume, it has a decreased treble sensitivity. It sounds more dull than when it was freshly out of the box.
If you're looking for something cheap and portable, go for this amplifier, but of course, expect a compromised sound quality.
Excellent
For this price you can't really go wrong, It's cheap and sounds excellent. It has the basic features with also a 3.5mm aux in- and output, which makes it even better. Plenty of volume for practicing at home!
The buildquality is also amazing, it is solid and well built, which means you don't have to worry too much while transporting it.
Overall a very nice and budget friendly amp!
Good product :)
Good product :)
Aux in stand by mode is a problem when listening music from outsorce device longer then 20 min.
Thuis
Een versterkertje voor thuis, meer dan voldoende...
Great small amp
I use the amp mostly in church but have also used it outside (during the summer!). It came with the bass guitar which I'm getting to grips with but works equally well with my new Roland keyboard, too.
My only con is that it can take nearly a minute from switching on to being ready to work.
Other than that, great.
The best you can afford with less than 100¤
PERFECT sound, high quality manufacturing, value for money, You should buy it! I definitely suggest it to buy it!
Great practice amp
This bass amp is perfect for home use and recording, easy to use and has all the bassic bass tones you could want. The aux input is a great feature, allowing you to play along to a phone or mp3 player, very handy for learning songs. It is surprisingly loud for 20watts and sounds well, plenty of bass and not at all tinny like some small amps. It is well made with no rattles when playing and is very neat inside. If you are thinking about getting it then just do it! It's honestly great
Good things come in small packages
Good for practicing at home. Surprisingly loud for such a small amp. Very cheap prices but not cheap on quality. Harley Benton stuff gets better and better over time.
The Sound is Solid!
Our bass player was amazed because our praise & worship have a level up sound atmosphere. The box is amazing very sturdy. Very Excellent amplifier. Very unique. Very affordable. Amazing!
Great amp for the price
Didn't actually chekced it with a bass, but with a 7 string loaded with emg 81-7 and 85-7 tuned to drop G, and it sounded pretty okay! the options aren't immense but it would do for a practice amp. I'll use it with a bass when it'll arrive (hopefully this week or the one after). One problem I did faced was that I couldn't control the Ipod input volume via the amp, only by the ipod controls, though it's great for parties and such . another thing I kinda dislikes it's that the power cable can't be seperated from the amp. I'm used to those cable you use to power computers and such and it's not the case with this amp.
all in all, it's a great little practice amp that works great on extended range guitars and I'm sure that on basses too (will find out shortly). If it would be ruined, I'll probably get a new one.
