Harley Benton HB-10G 4-stars Reviews
Great budget amp for beginners!
It's fairly simple, A good beginner amp with good sound for the price, and also has a headphone and mp3 jack.
heck of a deal for the price!
Price is good for.
Mono, beautiful, but the sound is banal. Overdrive is unpleasant. Clear sound is not clear enough. Ampli works even without a guitar, just connect the cable and pick up the end, it's convenient. Turns off after 20 minutes. For this price it is a good purchase.
Amp for people living in a flat
You all heard abour "bedroom amp". Great for when you live in a house. This one is great when you live in a block and want something powerfull in sound but not louder than what your regular speakers put out. So if you plug your phone or player or computer with spotify and want to jam along - you'll get the same level you would hear when listening to the track.
A very good for the beginner player
This Harley Benton combo amplifier is a must for the beginner player out there. It works well and sounds likewise. Overall good quality for a good price. Highly recommended for those who want to start rocking out on the six string! :)
wow
very loud for such a small amp...
the incorporated drive knob realy roars if you push it full. great for apartments
Great desktop amp
I have this on my desktop hooked up to my computer via the aux-in. I use it for online guitar lessons, or just noodling at my desk. If I am not alone then the headphones get used. The lesson backing track comes out the speaker (fixed volume, you have to alter the volume on the computer). Plenty loud enough for sitting on the desktop.
Clean sounds are good, the gain channel isn't so usable as a long term tone. Headphone output is crystal clear.
Simple. good value and a value aid to learning guitar at your desk.
Great value for money
Surprisingly good clean tones and surprisingly loud.
Its nice and portable too which is handy.
It's not great distorted, but its fine for practicing and would probably sound fine with a distortion pedal.
Can't really beat it at this price.
Not bad
For that price it?s ok
I like it.
I use it for practice and it works great for the price.
Great amp for a beginner
This was my very first guitar amp and it wasnt until i tried other beginner amps that i realised how good it is. Clean channel is very clear sounding with nothing out of the ordinary and the gain when in low and mid gain settings is very usable. For the pirce it is a fantastic amp. I would recommend it to anyone who is considering buying an electric guitar but not looking to spend too much.
price/quality very good
For this price, it's just a very good amp. The controls are a bit sensitive and when you want to play really loud, the sound quality is a bit less. But all in all, very happy with this one.
An ideal starter or practice amp for the student guitarist. The lay-out is clear and easy to understand. The EQ works intuitively and well, the sound quality is pretty good for such a small amplifier. Because of the small size, the ideal practice amplifier for a student room. The headphone jack is a great addition to not disturb others in your area while you exercise. The extra line in input is the ideal partner to jam with backing tracks or your favorite songs. The amplifier is robust and can last quite a while. Worth the money!!!
Good practice amp
Sounds great, loud enough, it has good cleans, OD sounds fizzy
Great value amp!
Great combo for beginers
I am satisfied with this product, I use it at home only and it is enough. Sound is OK however I wonder if it will be the same as new after few months. It is small, not heavy, really worth the price.
Good practice amp
Been using it as a practice amp for three months now. It never got out of my room and I don't intend to use it for anything else beside home practice.
Now let's see what I like and don't like about it.
Pros:
1. Sturdy build - I was actually amazed by how sturdy this amp feels
2. 3.5 mm jacks - this is really, really useful. You can just plug in your MP3 (or phone) and your headphones without the need of any adaptor.
3. Cheap - it won't hurt your wallet, but you actually get a lot for this price.
Cons:
1. The sound is clear, though it does get noisy if you crank it up.
2. The overdrive channel is not all that good.
All in all, you really can't go wrong with it.
This amp has nice clean and weak overdrive but the price compensates this disadvantage. Overall, I recommend beginners, but to play overdriven colors I suggest to buy overdrive or distortion pedal.
Good for the price
The quality of the sound is good, but not comparable with Marshall or Fender.
Great wee practice amp
Got this amp as part of a guitar starter package, and it is great. I bought the guitar starter kit for my son and he was immediately able to use this amp straight away. Has all the usual dials, volume, bass, middle and treble, guitar in and headphone socket, as well as an MP3/aux in for playing along to music etc. There is also an overdrive button, which when pressed will give a decent distortion. The sound out of this amp is great for the size, remember it is an entry level amp and will certainly help the new guitarist learn and master the guitar before moving onto a bigger amp. Perfect amp for practice in a bedroom, can get loud, but will distort the speaker, for example anything passed 12 o'clock on the dial.
Fine beginners amp
There's nothing wrong with this amp for the money and it's perfect if you're looking for something that just increases the volume for practice. I found it very hard to get a metal / grunge sound even on the overdrive but with some fiddling and max volume on the amp you can get there ( turn down the guitar )
Overall I'd recommend this to anyone starting out as a fine purchase to get started
Great for the money
Its an entry level 10 watt practice amp for not much dollar.
Bought it for a friend of mine for his birthday. Surprised at the quality of sound. I thought it would be really tinny and buzzy but was I wrong. Speaker design continues to get better and from years ago if you played through a small speaker it would have no tonal quality at all. Not like that with this unit, more than capable of holding its own at a small practice session or great for using at home.
Gain channel can get some good sound too. Unfortunately there is no pedal switch but you are not going to gig with this amp anyway. It has input for mp3 player and output for headphones. A good little amp that wont take up half the room.
