Harley Benton HB-40R 5-stars Reviews
This is good!
Well, this amp is quite good for begginers like me :) It is a good one and very well packed and finishing. The sound is great even i still don't master how to adjust the sounds.
The only thing is i didn't like is, when you switch it on it didn't work immediately, you have to keep strumming until you hear a strong annoying voice, i mean it takes some time for the amplifier to detect the guitar. another thing is when i plug the AUX cable on it, it gives really a very strong, annoying and noisy sound, it keeps in a horriby buzzing untill you plug the phone or whatever then the horrible sound stops, after that there is no problem at all and you can play comfortably as much as your heart desires :)
Need to figure out how to require this or move to EU
Amp has good weight will probably sound good but I should have known better than to buy a european amp cause in U.S. We are wired different. Ha ha the jokes on me. I can't hook it up?? this is totally my fault. I should have known better
Brilliant amplifier
A fantastic solid-state Amp that gives a real tubelike sound with fantastic overdrive & distortion options ideal for any small gigs no problem being heard in a small venue or use as a practice amp fantastic quality for the price
Very good
I'm using this amplifier for my electric guitars. It's the best buy for it's price.
Pros: It has many functions and good maneuverability.
I can play music from my phone with a 3,5mm jack.
No cons at all.
HB-40R
I bought this as a practice amp, I am stunned by the sound of this little beauty, for the money its fantastic, i'd recommend it to anyone.
Decent amp, bargain at the price.
I'm using this as a practice amp, mostly for jazz so not so much scream and twang and although I'm not playing it out, it certainly has enough poke if I want to. This is a light, reasonably compact and sturdy amp and despite it's weight it doesn't sound thin - it gives a clear tone even at low volumes.
The reverb is clean and responsive and the overdrive channel gives a wide range. The equalisation is fine. The line out and phones socket is a 3.5mm rather than the 6.35mm (1/4") so you might need an adapter.
Playing through effects boxes comes out well too. It's not a massive speaker but there's a socket for you to plug one in if you want to. It's hard to beat it at the price. Very pleased with it.
Good for starters
This is probably the best amp for low budget and a beginner player :) Very loud
Edit: Two years later and it's like new. Really good for beginners but, if youre looking for something really good then I suggest rising your budget.
Bought this as guitar/amp set. Really great value compared to buying same in Ireland. is well made and good quality and sound. Very happy with the amp and guitar set. Would recommend without reservation.
More than i exprected
The sound quality is really good and it is even loud enough to play in a band! Assuming the drum machine is not that machine like ;)
The equalizer is sensitive and can be adjusted precisely. The overdrive channel ranges from crunch to distortion.
The built in reverb is also a nice feature, witch thickens the sound. Good for surf music.
This amp is also very good for playing at home. It has an extra audio jacket for headphones. You can also plug in another box, good for monitoring or whatever you want to do. All in all i would strongly recommend this one for beginners.

The sound quality is amazing and it is really loud. Sounds like a much more expensive model and is great value for the money. Highly recommended.
