Harley Benton D-120BK Reviews
A wonderful bargain buy!!
A good quality guitar for a great price, delivery was swift and precise.
The guitar itself is well constructed and creates an excellent sound, if your in need of a dreadnought guitar this is a good one too buy.
Amazing
This guitar is beautiful, the sound is nice, the price is awesome.
Great guitar for a great price
Now, I must admit I ordered this guitar thinking that it would be an average looking and sounding guitar but I've been really pleased with it. It was bought for someone to learn on and for this price it seemed ideal. However, Im thinking about getting another one for me!
It sounds really nice and looks great for a "cheap" guitar. I didn't stick the scratch guard on as I don't think it would last very long but other than that its great. 3/5 for features as it hasn't really got any!
Very pleased with it so far. Hopefully it will still sound and look great in years to come.
Brilliant product if you are on a tight budget
I bought this for my Dad who wanted to learn guitar. At around £46.00, I thought I'd much rather pay this for a new Harley Benton product than for a second-hand instrument that could have age-related problems, as I have had HB stuff before and it's always been of great quality.
The build quality and sound of the guitar is of the very very best that can be expected for this price range, and is certainly comparable to entry-level products from the bigger, more famous brands.
I would go as far as saying that if you wanted a reliable but cheap workhorse instrument for gigging and even recording, look no further than Harley Benton. You'll only be paying double this price for the same quality of product.
A reasonable starter guitar
This is a cheap guitar which I bought for a friend who wanted to start out on guitar. Can't have much complaint at this price - it's well enough constructed, it stays in tune well enough, looks quite well made - the black finish makes it seem more expensive than it really is. Sure, there's maybe a little depth or character missing from the sound, but as I said before, it performs pretty good considering its price and is not horrible to play such that it might put a beginner off.
Good for beginners
This is a great guitar for anyone who's just starting out. It's cheap and does sound like a guitar, so there's no real issues there.
In terms of quality, you get what you pay for so for someone that is a bit more intermediate, I'd say look upwards in the price chain.
Good guitar
a nice guitar if set up correctly, may need to lower the action a bit but the fret board is nice, neck was straight and useable , finish was good too, tuning pegs tights and the wood was good for the money, at this price you cant really complain it isn't a takamine but still an excellent guitar for beginners
If you look for a simple acoustic steel string guitar to play for yourself - it's just what you need,
Good sound, good quality, low price... what else do you need?..
Probably better than what you can expect
I've just bought four of these guitars, so far they seem to have some trustful "dignity", instrument finishes are not its strength but the guitar lets itself be played. Sound is acceptable, except for two of the guitars that also includes a metallic buzzing accompainment depending on the string you play, but nothing I wouldn't have expected for the money I payed, anyway I expect it to get better when I change the strings.
Visually they are very good, black is always a stylish color. Have in mind that pickguard is not much more than a sticker which come separatedly, I haven't put them yet and for now have no plans on doing it.
Recommended for people who know what they are doing, a guitar for your country house, for going to the beach, for playing at a party where that glass of wine is probably going to be spilt over it.
If you are a beginner who is going to seriously use it to practice, you should have someone around to guide you through a correct setting up (strings, action adjustment, tuning...), otherwise maybe you should consider to get a more out of the box reliable instrument.
Good busking guitar
This is a good guitar for busking. It's cheap and cheerful, cheap enough for you not to worry about using it in parks and on the streets, but still sounds reasonable.
The sound is decent, all the frets are in the right place and the intonation is good. A lot of cheaper guitars have an intonation problem, but this one is okay! The quality is obviously lower than on more expensive guitars, e.g. with cheaper tuning pegs, but this guitar still works well and serves its purpose.
I would recommend it for anyone that wants a cheap guitar to practice on and busk with.
