Harley Benton TE-20 SB Standard Series Reviews
A great guitar for a low price
The finish is good. No flaws. The fret ends and neck feel smooth. All I did was apply some lemon oil to the fretboard and tuned the strings.
I am very pleased with this guitar. I does everything I would expect from a "T" style guitar
Its quite comfortable to play. Not too heavy. This guitar is certainly great value for the money.
I would buy it again.
Amazed!!
I got this for a teenaged kiddie at Xmas.
It plays, sounds and looks just as good as my genuine telle. A Christmas day astoundation, but I couldn't put it down.
Fully recommended at this astounding price, a real beauty, even if just to look at.
Upgrade
Ótima guitarra para upgrade. Comprei a minha em 2015 e uso até hoje. Única questão é que encontro dificuldades para substituir a ponte da maneira que eu quero.
Unbeatable price
For beginners, it's impeccable. Solid build quality and features.
Sound has room for improvement - a bit muddy at times. But you can't beat the price for quality ratio
Great low cost guitar
Arrived in under two weeks, not bad for a guitar coming to Canada from Germany. Tune it up and it was good to go. Pickup voicing is slightly muffled/muddy but nothing that can't be tweeked in amp settings. Will be ordering another Harley Benton soon.
Vauuu!
Good value for the money. This guitar must pay twise of its prise.
Great for the money.
I bought this for my father at Christmas and overall it was a great experience. The only issue at all was the fretwork. The ends were heavily sprouted and it was basically unplayable without shredding your hands but with a bit of patience and some file work, it is a fun little guitar to play!
Frets and set-up are great right out of the box.
They are better quality than Squire Affinity or Bullets. Great clean and spank on both pick-ups.
In the first place today, the low price is in the first place is available for all ages and the gift is not financially demanding for the pleasure of someone else.
not only for beginners but also for advanced
musician.

After getting over shock I was quite overwhelmed at the overall quality for the price.
What you get
For this price, this is a great guitar! You need to understand why you are buying it - study, local concerts, garage recording - it is good for all this.
In my case, there were minor flaws: a pair of machine heads had backlash, the neck pickup did not work (I had to do some soldering), everything else was done at a good level, and this level is clearly higher than the price for this instrument.
The pickups are not loud, sometimes there is not enough power, but this is my fault - I often use an instrument with distortion, and it is not designed for such overloads.
For almost two years of use, the frets under the 6th and 5th strings have worn out a little - I am a rather aggressive guitarist and the guitar does not stand idle in the corner.
Yes, this is not a Fender Telecaster USA, this is an excellent tool for its tasks, you just need to understand what you are buying and why, and if everything is in order with this, then you will not be disappointed!
Bizar goed voor de prijs
Ongelooflijk dat dit gemaakt kan worden voor deze prijs. De topkam verdient wat extra aandacht, maar verder is het een prima gitaar voor mijn doeleindes.
Excellent Quality for the Price
Really nothing to complain about. I adjusted the action a bit lower, and the guitar is terrific, great Tele sound. Luthiership is top rate. Frets are good and I love the fretboard, very tight grain and smooth. Use mainly for recording.
Was amazed how this played
Put it into open E and started playing with a brass slide. I was a little bit amazed by how nice it felt to play and I found the tones I wanted immediately.
Amazing, for this price, or even twice this price
No quality issues, turned up, tuned it up, played it every day since, without any issues. I record it via Scarlett Solo into Ableton Live, and it's just a perfectly fine guitar. I love it.
Great Tele for a base to mod and improve with.
Needed a tele for home studio use, looked at budget range opted for Harley Benton over a Squire and wasn't disappointed. Great finish and so glad I took the plunge.
I planned to mod the guitar so really just needed something that had a good foundation to work on and this was perfect. Plan to upgrade pickups and machine heads in near future but it plays fine as is.
One thing as always with budget guitars is dressing of sharp edge frets and need a good polish too to improve playability and that is why only 4 stars given. If that little bit more effort was spent dressing/polishing frets even if it added extra to the price it would be a far superior product. Great little Tele and delighted with it.
Great Guitar for the Price .
. I ordered the TE-20 Tele Copy ,after reading some good Reviews , This was just for use in my home Studio , & at such a low price ,thought if it was Rubbish .Then what the Heck . WOW , So surprised at the Looks / Instant Playability , & Even the Low Budget Pickups are Acceptable , The Neck is Smooth & the Frets are nicely Edged , far better than a Recent F / Squier ,Strat i Bought , Overall no Complaints ,Wish when i was Young & starting out in the 1960s ,there had been Decent affordable Guitars like this around ,
Good tele type instrument
I bought this to convert to humbucker neck bridge single, tele. I sourced mini humbucker and scratch plate and made the changes. It was what I hoped it would've; a good guitar made better. However in the time it took to source the bits etc I found a Revelation tele which was already humbucker, single and better suited so I sold the Harley Benton. However I have photos I took during the mods which remind me that this was a well made guitar.
Nice nice,
These are Great Guitars, I would put these against any MIM, MIJ, you name it, these are right up there at the top.
