Superb price/quality
Just wonderful looking and sounding Jazzmaster. A bit sad there’s no tremolo, but I still have my J Mascis one for that. Definitely doesn’t pale next to it.
Excellent guitar
Very good quality, I fitted locking tuners only to make string changes quicker, it stayed in tune with the original tuners.
Pickups are excellent.
Pleasant experience
Good design and also workmanship. This guitar has a kind of unpretentious charisma that i really like. Pickups sound great, weight is just right, neck is great. I own a Fender Jaguar for over a 10 years (as my comparison reference).
Great
Plays well, sounds great. Little to no setup is required. Upgraded with Duesenberg Les Trem II. Fantastic!!!!!
Glad I did it! Finally a comfortable neck!
A friend of mine had sung the praises of these guitars , and considering he has a massive studio and records hundreds of artists I take his gear opinions with a great deal of respect.
I decided to order one a few days later and I'm very happy I did. A little set up out of the box and it was ready to roll.
I enjoy the sound, the finish and frets were smooth and the neck!! My lord do I love it! I'm a big guy with big hands, and with so many brands going to a thinner neck, this was a fantastic surprise.
Very happy with my purchase and I've got my eyes on a pink one in the near future.
Have better luck than I had
Input jack completely caved it to the inside of the guitar. Nice colour but the overall QC was an absolute shocker.
Be aware that I sent it back on the 20th via the returns label provided) and still hasn't reached them so I can't get my money back or swap it for something else. Apparently the norm from UK is 20 days. Staff have been nothing short of sarcastic about this and completely unhelpful. So in all -great if you get a good one, but if you don't expect some frustration
Fantastic guitar, irrespective of the price.
I received this guitar for free, which I believe gives me a-lot of grounds to comment on what my thoughts are, as price was not included in my thought process.
I was extremely excited about receiving my first Harley Benton as i've always looked into getting one but they are quite a good distance away from me all the way in South Africa - anyways.
The guitar came packaged extremely well and upon opening the box I was very happy that the guitar had absolutely no flaws. The neck had some of the most beautiful figuring of roasted flame maple id seen in a while. The setup was fantastic, the finish work was fantastic and best of all, it played silky smooth. The neck shape is a very familiar very comfortable C and wont hurt you after hours of hard playing. The satin finish on the neck is a treat as it makes for a smooth playing experience for hours and hours. Overall I was thoroughly impressed and happy I now have the guitar to pick up whenever I have the chance to play. I own many expensive instruments and I feel that this guitar holds its own against whatever you would throw at it to compare to. Is it as nice as a custom-shop instrument, no that would be impossible. Does it play and sound fantastic and able to do anything you want it to, absolutely.
The hardware seems just as tough and sturdy as most well known hardware brands and the build quality is rock solid. Im almost certain these guitars will survive whatever you can throw at them and Im honestly impressed.
I would love to buy and own some more in the near future.
Probably the best budget guitar you can find!
Really great guitar!
It’s the cheapest one I have and it’s perfect on playability: the frets and the neck are as good as some 600+ euros guitars; it’s lighter than a real JM; it has no trem (which I prefer in these kind of models); I’m using it in C standard tuning and have no intonations issues whatsoever.
Only improvements I would like are:
- white/pearl pick guard instead of mint (only noticed the real colour when I got it in my hands); up and down switch should be the standard left to right; would match plastic colours on nut/pickups/switches. But for the price these are not real issues.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a budget JM’like guitar.
Simply Awesome
This is my 2nd JA-60 and my first JA-60 CC. It won't be my last! It is even better than the JA-60 Sunburst I purchased a while back; the nut is perfect, the frets are level and the action was made like silk by simply adjusting the neck relief and lowering the bridge. I just ordered a blue one... I am that hooked.
Unbelievable quality, fit and finish is fantastic out the box
Perfect set up straight out of the box. neck is fantastic. no sharp fret edges and the satin finish on the neck feels great to play. body seems a comfortable offset and slightly scaled down to a normal JM. Body finish is also perfect with no blemishes or issues.
Pickups are genuine JM style pickups (not P90) with a flat and wide winding around magnetic poles as i inspected them when changing pickup covers for black ones.
Would not hesitate to buy again
