Surf paradise!

Learned to play on my grandpa's original 60's signature model of what this guitar is based on and fortunately this guitar is lighter, more stable and the neck is much wider allowing for my fat fingers to find those notes so much easier. The soapbar style pups are smooth and sound great on all the classics through my hotrod deluxe. Just wish it had a vintage tremolo or a tune-o-matic/stopbar setup to pop one on without drilling into its beautiful metallic blue carved top! Keep up the great work HB!

Great bang for buck

This is a great value guitar and a nice tribute which features both Mosrite and Univox features, but it's not an exact copy. It's a very basic and well made instrument. Hardware is excellent, and upon opening the electronics I found it actually has Korean full size potentiometers and a proper (not pcb) switch. Wiring looks like an expensive hand made job, which is great. Frets are really well polished and leveled. Wilkinson tuners have the classic look, but feel very solid. The only thing I didn't like so much is the sound - for a P90 it's fairly dark and muffled. Of course, it came with 250 pots, so I recommend changing to 500 in the future. All in all this is a great starting platform for moddin the guitar to your liking, with new pickups, adding tremolos, etc.
