BEAUTIFUL SUPER STRAT!
I have been looking for two wonderful super Strats for quite a while. This one was my fourth Harley Benton purchase in 2024. Both are impeccable! The body absolutely shimmers! And the neck is super smooth. Both are absolutely fun to play!
Worth the money
This makes 13 HB I have purchased.
The only negative on this guitar was it had bad fret sprouts, easy fix with 600 grit on a small sanding block and then a few rubs with some XFine Scotchbrite pad.
The finish is flawless, set up was nice and low.
Neck nice and straight no adjustments needed.
Pickups sounded ok
Neck: 7.9 ohm
Bridge: 8.6 ohm
Very good
Packaging was a problem as the box the guitar was in, was rather small an not taped secure. This resulted in an open inner box and the pointy part of the headstock hitting and punching through the outer box. So when delivered to me the tip was smashed. Anyhow it doesn' affect the guitar which for my needs is very good. Very good construction for neck frets and body painting. I like the thin neck and flat fretboard. The fretboard was dry though and frets need to be polished. I like that the parts cavity has graphite (?) paint and clean wiring. Pots/knobs work fine. Action was high, but setting it low and fixing intonation was easy so bridge is good. I like the pickups. Playability is very good in my opinion. Tuners seem to work ok so far but if something is to be changed will be the tuners and nut.
Terrific Guitar
For the price you cannot beat this guitar. More like a shred guitar and it does have decent pickups. Add to that the frets are smooth, level, and plays extremely well. The only I would consider an issue is the subpar tuners but for this price range you would almost expect that.
Really Good.
I just love this guitar, I play it everyday and it sound so good through my boss katana, plus it's so well made and smooth. the neck feels so fast. pickups are pretty agressive, i was expecting to put in a new set, but I'm keeping it as is. maybe i got lucky as it's so well setup? but it makes me want to buy another one :)
Lotta guitar for the money!!!
Came in great condition 24 frets nice flat neck frets were good very happy!!!
Great guitar
The red color is amazing, just amazing. Gives me goosebumps. Sound is amazing and its genuinely worth it.
Just few words
I am photographer. Bought that guitar is for its look (for photoshoot). But my good friend, great guitar player checked it a bit and told me it sounds really good. So, in whole .... Awesome!
Great Guitar for the price
Has become my goto guitar , the 43 mm nut width is almost perfect for my big fingers, good quality workmanship and materials. The tuners are a bit sloppy but they stay in tune. Really glad I bought it.
Best ratio price/performance
I bought this as my 3rd guitar (I have Acu+ electric already and I did tweak those up by myself, so I knew what I was buying. This is will be my C standard guitar (C G C F A D), I will replace nut, strings & tuners, potentially shield the cavities.
Pros:
+ well packaged
+ audio cable included
+ light guitar
+ no neck dive
+ 24 frets
+ nice sound
+ 5-way switch
+ awesome color, both body and neck
+ thin D neck
+ action is setup nicely on nut (had to adjust bridge) - no need to sand it down for me
Cons:
-tuners are very cheap (its ok for the price but you might want to change them)
-strings are lowcost - acceptable for the price, but I recommend changing them
-oil the neck asap, it came up very dry
-some minor nicks and ticks here and there, but I spoke tu customer rep and I am ok with our deal.
-no shielding (like every guitar under 300 GBP)
-no annoying buzz when connected to AMP (unlike Squiers and other lowcosts do)
I mean for the money, visually and quality wise stunning deal, I definitely might get another HB in the future.
