Awesome

This guitar is pure perfection. Sounds like an instrument from much higher price range, stays in tune and the fretboard is nice and comfortable. I doubted that the pickups are okay, but these Roswell blew me away. It’s an awesome guitar, an absolute beast, absolutely unbeatable in this price range. Keep it that way. I already ordered an ST - 25TH Firemist because I’m sure it will rock too

Insane Value Considering The Features

Roasted neck, stainless steel frets, flawless neck, locking tuners, and nice Alnico 5 pickups with coil splitting. How can you beat that for this price? It just feels and plays great as well. Nice sounding tones, with pretty much every pickup configuration yielding a usable sound. Thanks for making this guitar my friends. It's a masterpiece for the cash-strapped working musician!

Best HB Yet

I own two Harley Benton guitars - the ST-62BK Hot Rod (EUR 150) and a TE-FL90T. The ST was fine but needed to have a luthier remove some serious fret sprout but now it plays great. With the TE, I needed to adjust the neck relief and adjust the action and the intonation. The SC came out of the box ready to play (just needed to be tuned).

The guitar looks great and I could not find any imperfections. The fretwork is ridiculously good for a guitar in this price range and it really plays nicely. Perhaps I go lucky with this one, but even if you need to make some adjustments, it is well worth the money. Very, very satisfied.

Best HB in the stable!

I own quite a few HB single cut models. The Firemist 25th Anniv. is the newest in the collection, and I must say, also the best. Absolutely beautiful to the eye...and more gold than the other, copper-ish variants offered by HB. Satin neck and body are flawless and just really well done. Very solid feel to the guitar. 8.6# on the scale. SS frets are nothing short of excellent (Our friends in that Nashville factory could learn a lesson here.). Locking the 3rd are smooth and solid feeling as well. Flame on the maple neck is just beautiful. Pups are 'ok', and likely just fine for most folks. They'll be swapped out when I get a moment. Controls all tight and solid. Excellent guitar for 1/10th the price of that place down the road. Highly recommended.

Incredible value, great quality

I think this is hands-down the best value budget LP-style guitar out there today. The finishing is FAR better than any other sub-$300 USD guitar I've ever handled. Frets are smooth and level and the setup out of the box was more than satisfactory.

I'd love to see more models with these features, but different finishes and pickup configurations (p90s anyone?).

I'm Impressed!

Hmmm.. my experience with the new 25th anniversary SC? Pretty dang good! I'm calling it firemist! Just cause that's cooler than 25th blah blah! Definitely more copper or rose gold than a gold top! The setup was all over the place when I started messing with it! No relief on the neck! Up-bow to begin with! Action a mile high! Since the bridge wasn't angled like most LP style guitars the intonation looks really wierd! I checked it twice though! I also use a pretty pricey peterson strobe unit for intonating. A few blemishes and finish issues. However you have to look really hard and be really picky to notice them! Pickups are ok.. Im probably gonna take off the covers and see if it opens them up a bit(no pun!) I've done this in the past with epiphone models and its helped! Overall though? Really amazing value! A very playable guitar at a 1/4 of the price of an even a "better" epiphone model! The frets surprised me! Almost totally smooth and ready to play! This hasn't been my experience with HB stainless steel fretted instruments in the past! Very good fret leveling as well! Next to no rocking with my straightedge! No rough edges on the side! Neck feels amazing! Satiny roasted maple goodness! I'm a believer now! Thanks to Harley Benton!
