Not Playable
I didn't purchase this thinking it would be a perfect bass but I expected it to sound decent. I tried out a similarly priced, cheap u bass from an off-brand before this that sounded really good, so I assumed this one would be similar, if not better. Unfortunately, it sounds terrible. It's extremely muddy and buzzes quite a bit. Additionally, mines came missing one of the strap holders. So I can't even hold it comfortably. No sign of it ever being there and maybe getting knocked off. It's like they just forgot to put it on. I had high hopes of this being a bass I could carry to keep up with practice while I travel, but it sounds so bad. The bass in Youtube reviews, even negative ones, typically sound better than mines, so Im not sure if its just a defective unit. But either way, it doesn't sound great in some of those videos anyway.
great u-bass but some tricky bits
amazing u-bass but the battery is quite tricky to get out and I had no idea what the knobs did (pretty sure top one is volume, middle one is treble or tone and bottom is bass or gain) but otherwise great sound and quality
Very cool, but difficult to play
I bought this guitar for my 13 year old daughter as a first bass guitar.
Although well built and it's surprisingly full sound, she has difficulties in producing a clean sound. Other problems that are mentioned in other reviews I've heard are also there, for some there are solutions for those who don't mind some arranging some modifications.
So I found most of the reviews pretty accurate, bought it all the same and found out It's just not good enough for my purposes.
Happy little bass
It's my first bass. I have a injured wrist and wanted something that could be played with very little pressure on the keys, and this little devil definitely delivers on that.
Plus, it looks super cool.
I can't really comment on the technical aspects, since I have no previous experience with bass guitars.
I still need to figure out how to attach a strap to it, and the strings are a bit sticky sometimes.
Honestly, it makes me laugh how this tiny thing can output those low noises and I'm having a blast learning to play it :)
