A wonderful guitar

I was not expecting that much quality from a guitar with that price, but yeah it is a great guitar, that i will probably use for a long time, as a beginner i think it's perfect, because it is still not expensive, and at the same time great build quality .

Harley Benton ST-59HM

An excellent Strat style guitar, manufactured with care and an eye toward fit and finish. I would have rated a 5 star, unfortunately the 5-position switch was not working in the bridge position (this is my 2nd HB with the same issue, as my Fusion II's switch was also faulty). Overall an excellent, playable guitar right out of the box.

You get what you pay for

The guitar is an absolute beauty which is the biggest reason why I bought it, and it sounds good too.

Needed a neck setup and some frets needed polishing but otherwise a beautiful guitar, holds a tuning really well even after bending excessively and using the whammy bar.

Excellent value and quality for the money

Lovely guitar-as well finished as my Fiesta Red Stratocaster, low playing action, good Strat sound from pickups ( always an option to change if you want to later)-and very well packaged. Still in tune despite the trip from Germany! The only slight quibble I have is that having made a Hank Marvin tribute guitar, with the gold-plated fittings etc.,HB didn't quite get the Fiesta Red match right. Compared with my own Fiesta Red Stratocaster it is slightly too red rather than that slightly faded pinky-red of Fiesta Red. I could respray, but the finish is so good, it would be daft to do anything other than leave well alone. Highly recommended.

An update 9 months on. Guitar still excellent, and holding tune even when not used for a few weeks ( I have 14 others....).One thing I did do was change the very good supplied pickups for Fender 57/62 single coils, and the sound is now indistinquishable from my Fender Classic player Strat. the only difference I can feel is the the Harley has a v-shaped neck-something i had not really cottoned on to until recently. Takes a bit of adjusting to after the c neck of most of my Strats, but it cerainly aids chord-playing. Still highly recommended, and well-worth upgarding to better pickups.

Another beautiful Harley Benton

Received this guitar today. This is my 3rd HB since I heard about them 6 weeks ago. I was very satisfied after I checked it out. I set the trim to float, did a setup, added a spring for the trim bar and I have a strat as nice as my U.S.A. Fender! The neck on mine is not yellow and the gold trim really sets this guitar off! Beautiful and great sounding guitar for the price!

Great Hank Sound

Guitar came well packaged within 3 Working days after order was placed. I use this for Shadows Sounds and it does the job very well for the Money. pros, A lot of Guitar for little Money, cons, needs a little work on the fretboard but nothing that I cannot do. Small imperfections on finish but acceptable at the price point.

Overall a very good guitar for the price

Pros

The body finish is very nice. It is the beautiful fiesta red.

I like the neck width, which is slightly wider than the standard Fender neck. May be that?s the way the D neck is, cause I?ve only played mainly on C necks.

The guitar was well set up with a nice low action. The playability is great.

The pickups sound good, very close to HM sound.

Cons

On the 3rd string (G string) on the fretboard, the sound was less sharp than on other strings. I was not sure if it was the string, or the bridge block. I replaced all strings and it seems to be ok.

Comments

The guitar was well packed and delivered in great condition.

If I could make one suggestion:

I suggest the neck (especially the headstock) could be a bit less yellow.
