The pink is pretty but pickguard green a bit off.

Bought this as an exchange for mini squier in the same shell pink. Sadly the scale length was small for 148 cm woman. But the color was such love at first sight. Took 1-2 weeks to come to Finland. Unlike mini squier that has white pick guard, this one has an odd lime green pick guard, reminds me of sewer monsters in Scooby Doo. Didn't take long to set this up. Was greatly playable from the box. No issues with tuning even from the early days. Generally very pleased with this. Caramelized maple neck is sucha plus for the price. Very smooth and nice to slide on. If it wasnt for the color the 89e sunburst strato model would've been fine too.

Perfect sounding baseball bat

Finally coming down to review this one.

Honestly, perfectly sounding guitar for its value, not much of a features in it, but all of them done purely good.

Vintage look supported by machine heads, a decent tremolo, and the color of the neck and pickguard (which completes the picture).

Good frets and overall quality, sadly no grounding on the inside whatsoever. Also no super-features since the guitar is in the low price point. Guitar is always in tune and sound perfectly with a pack of new strings.

Sadly, just when I got it I felt uncomfortable holding it in any part of the fretboard. At that time I was on a trip and wasn't able to compare the neck with any other guitar, but when I went home to my old guitar I found out that the neck is so thick it feels like you're holding a baseball bat. It's very personal and I think that's the idea of the vintage strat in general, but it really affects my playing quality so I put this guitar on a stand and barely play it, but it really adds up to my collection, a decent instrument for such a small price.

Good budget guitar

One of the best budget guitars out there. Nice feeling, nice neck, good work.

I've tried the cheaper strat version too. I would definitely recommend spending that extra to get ST-62 rather than ST-20. Huge difference.

Color is awesome, roasted kind of neck is looking good and feeling good.

Some of the frets were not super clean(edgy) but pretty ok for this budget.

Just grab a soft filer or sand paper to go through the frets and neck and it will be smooth and nice. Search for fret file and fret polish. Or just grab 1 dollar files from department store.

You might need some adjustments of course for the bridge and string height etc. If you are a total beginner you may not understand if its adjusted ok or not so take it to someone.

Get rid of the stock strings and put some ernies or elixirs.

Pickups are much better than expected.

Overall, could be the best beginner guitar. Or if you wanna experiment,, try, go for it.

Exceeded my expectations

Never would have expected the level of quality control and attention to detail on the fit & finish on this guitar. Frets were polished, rounded fret edges, smooth rolled fingerboard and satin neck finish feels great! The sound of the Roswell pickups have a balance between warm & bright and the included gigbag is nice. Other brands could learn a lot and up their standards on affordable guitars like Harley Benton is setting a new standar for the people on a budget (like me)

Fantastic for the money!

I'm shocked at how fast I received it. I absolutely love my new guitar. I was hesitant at first because it was so cheap, but I'm glad I took a shot. I'm gonna go by the tele version now.

Killer Strat at Any Price

Love this guitar. It has actually become my #1 for both practicing and gigging! The only reason I don't give it a 5 for sound is that the bridge was too thin sounding for my taste, so I replaced it with a Wilkinson hot rail. That fixed my issue and now its by far my favourite and most versatile guitar!

Good guitar but needs work

I'm a professional musician and session player.

I bought this guitar to modify and only use in studio when I need a ''vintage'' single coil strat sound.

Out of the box: Good finish, not perfect but for the price its nice. stock pickups sounded a bit harsh to my ears, but they are not bad, the dynamics and characteristics are there.

Neck feels smooth and nicely finished. frets are rough but no sharp edges. everything is nicely rounded. bridge and tuners are decent and they do the job, just don't expect too much for this price.

The biggest problem I had were the action and the setup. it was very hard to get a fairly low actions (only 2mm across on 12th fret) without fret buzz here and there.

I changed everything on this guitar, in fact the only thing stock now is the body and neck. I had to polish the frets and eventually shim the neck to make it playable to my specifications.

I used it in the studio on few session and I'm happy with the results. in fact I don't think I will manage to find a 400$ (cost after mods) guitar that will look, play and sound better, not stock at least.

Great guitar for this price

This is my 6th Harley Benton guitar and once again I am not disappointed. In my option this is an outstanding guitar for the money. Straight out of the box it was playable but after a small set up of changing to my preferred strings and adjusting the tremolo, it plays great. Very impressed with the finish, no sharp fret ends and the initiation was spot on it of the box. Has all the nice sounds of a strat. Could benefit from upgraded pickups in the future but for this money it's great. The maple neck with the shell pink is beautiful too. Another great guitar to add to my collection.
