Great guitar
I think this guitar is great for either a beginner or someone like myself who was looking to get a first tele in my collection. Out of the box the guitar plays great, action is decent and can but doesnât have to be messed with if youâre new to guitar. The quality is very good for the price and the sound is exactly what youâd expect to hear from a telecaster. Overall I think itâs a great guitar for the price and will definitely consider buying and other Harley Benton in the future.
I have been working on guitars for 35 years.
This has to be the best buy I have made, quality, sound and looks are awesome. I have setup every type of guitar made once or many times and the 2 each T styles guitars I purchased here took just minutes to setup. It is really nice to have a low cost quality guitar at your finger tips. These are well worth the money without any modifications.
Very nicely done.
All good...
...only freets were a little bit rusty with sharp freet ends but easy to fix. Otherwise everything is ok.
Great Deal
The strongest point of this guitar is its look. Aesthetically speaking the guitar is awesome, nothing at glance says this instrument costs 150€: from the roasted neck to the perfect glossy finish of the body. The only thing I wold change would be a 3-ply pickguard (the mono layer is more suitable for a vintage instrument) but that's just an opinion.
Sound-wise it's pretty good, tuners and electronics are a good deal for this price range and they're easily swappable with a more high end stuff when you feel the need. Still with the stock gear you get the "Telecaster experience" you're looking for, with a high sound versatility and a minimal .
The only thing that holds me from giving the 5th star is the setup: when playing above the 8th fret I noticed a severe fret buzzing that needed to be taken care of by a professionist. This increased the price of the guitar by 50%.
Nonetheless I ended up with an instrument that is still very competitive against other guitars in the 200-250€ range and feels and sounds marvelous when I play it.
So good for less than 200 â¬
Great neck, great finish, great feeling, stays in tune.
The sound of the pickups? Well, it is the sound of a tele. Everything else is subjective. If you want to feel more confident, you can upgrade them for 100 € with a fender set but I am not sure that you will get a "better" sound.
Overall, a very pleasant guitar and very well built.
Very happy TE62
I already have a TE62DB but when I saw this on sale for £110 I couldn't resist the maple neck custom colour Dakota red model.
The instrument arrived with no problems. I've been playing for about 25 years I've had this guitar over 6 months now and it's still exactly set up the way it left the warehouse and I do usually tend to adjust the set up a little but so far this is good.
There was a couple of small imperfections namely the back plate holding the neck on had some very light scratch marks on it and the frets ends were a little bit sharp. Is this a big deal? No they're the sort of things one could get on any factory made instrument. I love the colour, the neck is great, quite slim, the baked maple is awesome.
These guitars really impress with the sound of the pickups, genuine alnico magnets aren't the norm in this price bracket, they just sound great to my ears.
This guitar punches way above it's price bracket, I've had £200 squires and it's significantly better in every department. It's a vintage correct telecaster for £110 what else can I add to that?
Perfect vfm choice!
I got this guitar for 2-3 weeks now just to give a more accurate rating. I bought this one along with VBS saddles (for better intonation) and I am beyond impressed. It sounds really good, all 3 options on the switch have a true impact on sound (that means for me the pickup set is doing the job) and it's gonna be a workhorse for my daughter's lessons! By the way those tuners are great (I get it they are cheap but it stays perfectly in tune and they turn smoothly). You won't regret buying one! P.S. Fretwork was way better than expected, and neck was dead straight on arrival. I only restringed obviously cause it had old strings on.
awesome value
hard to believe you can get a quality instrument like this at this price point. I'm a believer, well done Harley B.
Breathes fire, kicks ass, it's all the guitar you need
I love this thing. It's a blast to play. The pickups are fantastic, I see no need to change them. It holds tune wonderfully. The neck feels great, all frets play perfectly.
If you've got something that's comfortable, stays in tune, has nice pickups, and has good fretwork, then worrying about anything else is a waste of time. This ticks all the boxes. Buy it and play, don't think about gear.
The tuners are a low point. I usually love vintage split-shaft tuners, but these ones are a little hard to use. The hole isn't deep enough -- replacing the high-e string is difficult.
I like it so much that I bought one for my sister's family for Christmas.
Wow!!
10/10 for product and Service.
‘Tele’ is Amazing.
