Surprisingly Good

I have never owned a brand new OD pedal before, I just buy used stuff. This one of the best I've ever laid hands on.

good sound!

i used it mainly to push my tube head a little more. and it gives me the ability to get a natural feeling gain with richer harmonics and controlled feedback . Just as i want!

The build quality is okay, the battery department looks a little bit cheap with all the plastic and could be a problem in the future if something breaks there.

for the price its an absolutely great pedal!

Sounds like the real thing

I did an A B test with the pedal that this is trying to emulate and it gets very close at only a fifth of the price.

The only difference I noticed is that the Vintage Overdrive removes more of the lower end than the Tubescreamer. Not necessarily a bad thing. It's only a matter of taste.

However when it comes to the smooth clipping, mids and trebles, I can't see any differences.

Great Build Quality

To be honest, for this price I was expecting some sort of cheap plastic device, however my first impressions were great. The metal housing looks very tough and durable. The dials are very responsive. The mechanical switch also feels very good. The overall build quality is first class.

So far, I am very happy with the sound features too. This little pedal is nothing less than the "other" green pedal we all know and love. I am using it together with a Fender Mustang II. It is an absolute charm to hear it with very low drive, mid volume and high tone together with an amp preset with compressor and some reberb.

excellent booster on my randall rd20 and hotone heart attack, why spent a couple of dollars on a tone which you can get in a small cash.out.

Lovely OD for the price

Quiet in operation, all analog, true bypass, can be used as a boost (not completely clean) or give a fair degree of overdrive, a bit like an inanely ts. Feels sturdy, all metal. I like it and it is great value.

First time buyer long time viewer

Very basic guitar player blown away by the reviews of this pedal so I took the plunge. Stunning piece of kit and I cant believe the price . Will buy more in this range and cant recommend both this range and company enough . Germany to Ireland inside three days - total customer service sadly lacking elsewhere ! Gives my amp so much punch its unreal !!

Bought it for my friend. He is a jazz/blues guitarist. This overdrive sounds like an expensive pedal, for the price it is excellent deal. The only thing is that the plastic battery cover is made out of cheap plastic, but who really cares about it. It is facing the floor anyway! Good deal! Thanks to Hennig from yt channel for presentation, it helped me a lot to make a decision of buying it.

Got exactly what i wanted

This is a Tube Screamer clone that is a very good sounding piece of equipment. I would even say it sounds exactly like the pedal it is cloned from and at a very good price. The quality is great and I have nothing to complain about. As a bass player I would say that this pedal, just like any tube screamer made for guitars, cut off too much low frequencies. There is a simple mod to make it more bass friendly.

How can this be so good?

It's a tubescreamer clone, there's no getting round that. But my god is it a good one, cranked up into my old WEM dominator this thing sounds amazing. I was running an MXR overdrive before, and got this so I could have a lower gain setting, but it beat the MXR hands down, and has taken its place on my board.

If you like old school creamy overdrive, then this does it. If you are after super high gain heavy metal sounds, then this is not the pedal for you, but with its three self-explanatory simple controls it can do all the screaming lead sounds, and crunchy rhythms that you could ever want.

Get one, even if you don't need it.

Harley Benton Vintage Overdrive

Check out the many back to back You Tube reviews/shootouts of this (or the identical Joyo) pedal against the Ibanez tubescreamer and try to tell the difference. Then check out the prices of both pedals. Some claim that there are differences between the pedals in quality of components and quality of construction/assembly. I've not had any Harley Benton pedals fail on me yet and even if one did I'm not bothered because the 3 year guarantee means I can't lose.

This sounds great for classic overdriven Rock/blues stuff that I like to pay a lot.

Solid construction , cheap price . What more could I ask for ?

Great value

I was using a tubescreamer TS808 but I've tried this pedal and it has blown me away.

The true bypass is excellent and one of the main reasons I said id try it out. I couldn't fault this and one of the lads in the band is now going to go out and purchase one too. Very well built and impressive fixtures for the price. I have been looking for a great distortion pedal for some time now and I must say I've stumbled onto something here which is very cheap. I would recommend this pedal to anyone and you cant go wrong for the price. Go get it!

Ridiculously good for the price

This is the first OD pedal I bought (it got kinda tiresome to borrow them from friends all the time), and it is absolutely awesome. No humming, easy handling, relatively sturdy build (at least for the price) and really nice sounding.

Even if you have some better overdrive pedals, these could come in handy as backup.

Just as good as the "real" thing

This is THE budget TS-Style pedal. Great build quality (it actually has metal pots, aluminium casing and it is NOT SMD!) and a great sound.

I use this mainly as a boost to tighten up the distorted channel of my amp, but it also serves really well as a standalone overdrive into the clean channel of a Fender or something like that. The tone pot gives this thing a versatility you really wouldn?t expect from a 3-knob overdrive!

Oh, and the bypass stomp is also really good quality, again, something you would not expect at this price point!

Strongly recommended for anyone looking to buy a TS-style pedal on a budget.

Great sounding overdrive

I use this to get a tad more gain out of my Bugera V5 as well as to get some additional treble out of the amp and it works great for that. The Bugera V5 has a reputation of sounding like someone dropped a wet blanket over it and this pedal mostly fixes that (not perfectly but close to it) with the tone knob.

The overdrive sounds amazing. I get old school rock/blues tones out of it when I run the V5 clean and the drive knob on the pedal on about half or more. If I crank the gain on the V5 as well as on the pedal it gets into old school metal territory which is exactly the span of gain tones I was looking for.

I have my doubts about the build quality since the price is so low, but it feels well built on the outside at least and it it working fine so far. No glitches at all.
