Nice quality guitar

As you would expect from a brand like Ibanez, this guitar has been precisely made, even though it is the entry level model.

The only negative I can think of is that using the tremelo arm will make it go out of tune, but it's not a problem for me as I don't use it.

I've had my GRX40 for 14 months now and play it whenever I get the chance.

It's a full size guitar, and has almost the same dimensions as a Stratocaster. ( I've compared them side by side).

It has a lovely "Strat- like" sound.

I'm happy with mine and I would recommend.

Worth the money

Have been using it for more than 2 years now.

First up, it is totally worth the money. Finish is nice, you can be proud of your instrument. The jatoba fretboard looks and feels comfortable.

Anyone with smaller hands or fingers can safely decide on this. Playability is excellant, very comfortable neck size. The pickups are equitable to the money you pay for the guitar. If you need higher performing fancier pickups then you can pay your money and buy and replace.

Some of the fret wires on the edges we’re not finished properly but not a deal breaker. You can set it right with a little bit of rubbing down/filing with right tools. So all in all I am very happy with the purchase. BTW, I also own a fender strat and a godin.

Great beginners guitar

Im starting out on electric guitar for the first time- although ive played acoustic- It came in perfect condition- the action was at a height that i personally like ( quite low) and the strings came slighty out of tune - was set to be standard tuning (EADGBE).

The strings are nice- although i couldn't say much about them as im just starting out.

I also liked the neck thickness- i have pretty small hands so a small neck was pretty vital- this did just the job!

so far a good amount of sound is made when playing unplugged- and these stock strings are really good.- i read on another forum that they are d'adds 9-42 's

I was also surprised by the tuners- i thought they would feel plastic like but they are pretty good quality for the price of the guitar

I don't have an amp so i can't test out the volume/tone/selector thing

The thing i wasn't a fan of was the plastic- although necessary to protect the guitar body from scratches, i thought i was gonna pull the volume and tone knobs off but otherwise its a p good guitar

In summary this guitar was worth the purchase!
