Harley Benton Custom Line CLD-1048SCE-LH

I have been playing guitar for over 30 years, and have had a lot of axes in that time. My main acoustic guitar, which I have had for 20 years, needs immediate fret repair because the frets are so worn from being played to death. I have a number of performances coming up and I can't be without a guitar for those and don't have lefty guitar friends that I can borrow one from. So I wanted to get a cheap semi-acoustic to see me through while my main guitar is being repaired. Money is tight at the moment, so I couldn't overspend. The Harley Benton arrived this morning and I have only put it down to write this review. I am stunned that something that costs so little can be made to this quality. Out of the box it is very playable. The action is low enough, but I may need to make it lower, but...

This was not only my first acoustic but also my first Harley Benton (having a number of electric guitars already). Got to say right off the bat really impressed with the quality having seen many YouTube reviews of HB products, you can never really tell what is fact from fiction so had kind of reserved expectations of what I would actually get. Guitar came double boxed which was a big plus. I have spent a few hours on it now and getting used the bigger body shape (than and electric). I purposely went for this model due to being smaller in frame and this being a little smaller than a dreadnought. Sits comfortably so feel i made the right choice. Build quality is exceptionally good for the price point. Really don't have any negative comments at all, feels well made. Fretwork is surprisingly...
Fender Acoustasonic Tele LH NAT

I hesitated for a long time about buying this, price being an issue. I wish I had acted sooner. The sounds are great, and there is lots of verasatility built in. I use it straight into line in on our various amps, and it does not dissapoint. Obviously not built for hard rock, but for say Johnny B Goode etc it delivers. The acoustic setting are all fine and the percussion setting works well. 3 stars for quality though, e.g. I am still picking wood shavings out of the soundhole. The neck set up out of the box is fine, and after putting 11 strings on suits me fine. The frets are ok, not as good as many of the Harley Benton guitars I own but what can you expect from a company run by accountants?. The aesthetics make this guitar look good as well, but time will tell how durable the finish is....

Absolutely must get guitar for everything! So much value. This is my favorite guitar to play. I do most of my practice work with this guitar. I’ve also use this in many live settings. I don’t have to worry about this guitar getting dinged or lost. The guitar came to me ready to play; absolutely no set up was necessary. And although the tuners could be upgraded, this guitar holds its tune very well. I love its warm tone and earthy resonance. The neck is fast and comfortable for my hands. Love the VS LOOK!
Taylor 214CE Deluxe LH

I spent a lot of time trying acoustics and kept coming back to this one. I do think the gloss finish on the dlx model is nicer than the non dlx and well worth the extra few euro. The sound is clear and crisp and the whole guitar seems to sing. The guitar is light and very comfortable in the hands. The neck is just gorgeous and allows comfortable fingering of the fretboard and no stickiness when moving up & down. The sound is well balanced with plenty of sustain. I'm using it for strumming styles and some bluegrass flat-picking and it's perfect for both. I honestly can find no fault with this guitar, its a peach.

I ordered this in April and at the time it was out of stock, I received it mid July, I assume because of it being left handed. I wanted to see how it sounded in comparison to the Taylor gs mini I already own, and I am pleasantly surprised. The guitar is made to a great standard it looks beautiful and plays fantastic. Although it's more trebly than the Taylor it offers something different, I love its tone👍 it's a joy to play and I always have it at hand to pick up and play. Love it love it love it 😀👍✌

At this price you would struggle to find another left handed electro acoustic guitar anywhere near as good as this. Even unplugged it sounds great; loud, lots of projection, very articulate with a well defined bass. I know the roundbacks are not everyones cup of tea, but you will not be disappointed with either the sound or the playability. Also it is very well made and finished. If I could change two things: a) I would like a wider neck (this is 42mm at the nut) because I fingerpick a lot and I am used to a slightly wider neck, and b) the tuner isn't the easiest to use, but it is accurate. Value for money wise this is an unbeatable buy for left handed players as our choice is so limited!

Now this guitar impressed me. The wood, the construction, extra little bits like several quality-control tags and an extra pin, tools. The looks, the originality(!) of the nylon string Spanish-guitar-style headstock/tuning pegs arrangement. The preamp, the piezo pickup work well. The SIZE and the shape! So comfortable and portable. I'd have preferred a richer, more open sound typical of a solid spruce top but then it wouldn't have looked as delicious as the chocolate tones of this little beast. (This is a mahogany guitar with a darker lower midrange focus.) I guess the older I get, my stomach takes the lead from my ears as my overriding organ which has more say insofar far as dictating my tastes and priorities go nowadays. Well yes, eating delicious food is an easier and more agreable...
Recording King RPS-7-Lefty-TS

I wanted a nice little "banger" guitar to keep around the house, not having to worry about kids and guests and knocks. Also, I like small bodied guitars. Being a lefty, there's not too many cheap options on the market, and Recording King offers exactly ONE left handed model - the one I bought. Overall I am very much impressed. The overall quality is very decent, especially regarding set-up and playability. Right out of the box, this instrument plays very well, with comfortable low action. Unlike other cheaper instruments I have played, they don't seem to go for "safety" regarding string height, you can actually play this one as-is without a need for set up. Sounds nice and bright, great for fingerpicking and strumming, just a cool "accompanying" guitar. I...

I must admit that i am usually sceptical about reviews concerning music instruments because people do not hear sounds in one particular way or do not have a trained ear at all.But since I am a lefty (and on a budget) I thought I should give CLP-15 a try..I am glad I did so!This is a small baby with a huge,,rich sound!Ideal for delta bluesy fingerpicking and folk music, ballads etc.Good intonation,no buzzes or false tones. This guitar is a great deal.I love it when goods are reasonably priced, this one costs even less than true value.
