Jam Pedals Doubledreamer Dual Overdrive

Extremely versatile

I've been looking for something to replace my VOX Saturator, I needed something with two levels of overdrive, this pedal gave me five different set-ups. Each of them is unique and offers different levels of distortion. I love that it doesn't muddy your sound but makes everything sound crisp and to the point.

The left part of the pedal offers an amazing tube screamer like experience, while the right part is perfect for crunching a clean sound or if you don't need that much mids in your set up. Combine the two and you get an epic distortion.

wonderful TS Style Drive

Have owned a lot of TS style pedals over the years and many have been very good but this might be my favorite. The Double Dreamer is a combination of two TS style pedals from Jam - the Lucy Dreamer and the Tube Dreamer. They are similar but not the same and their combination in one pedal with additional assignable boost (to either side or to both together) makes it a very useful stomp box.

I like that the Lucy dreamer side can be used as an always-on and you can mix the clean signal to taste. I can then add the Tube Dreamer for some great overdrive with lovely harmonics and overtones. It sounds thick but not muffled or boxey as can happen with som TS circuits in my experience. The boost can be added on top to really push things into very diry but still articulate territory.

I'm looking forward to playing with the various routing options and adjustments but really I expect I'll leave it alone because the settings out of the box seem just right.

I use the pedal in front of a Fender Princeton Reissue as well as in front of a Helix pushing different amp simulators. IT works in every scenario. I have owned several Ibanez TS pedals, a Moonshine, Bonsai, Palisades and Plumes and the Double Dreamer is easily my favorite.
