Jaspers 4D-120B Reviews
Good stand for the price but a bit difficult to adjust
It's a good stand but adjusting the brackets is a pain in the a**. They don't have a pot, and you have to use the key with the screw that's not visible (it's underneath) everytime you want to adjust the width of the brackets. If there is a keyboard underneath the brackets that you are adjusting then this becomes way more difficult. I've hurt my arm doing this. Also the vertical space between keyboards could've been a bit bigger as some keyboard controls are hard to see if you place them in a more horizontal manner rather than 45 degrees.
Overall: good build and weight.
even better than expected.
it's light and very stable. I was afraid that the otiers other than the lowest could handle heavy keyboards, and I am not having issues either with a korg m3 61 or with a roland V-Synth. Setup is fast, depth of the opening of the stand can be adjusted and blocked. Should I add gear to my collection I'd go for one more of these stands.
Top stand
For years I have been either, stacking up keyboards on gig stands using add-on adaptors, or putting them on multiple shelves that need drilling into the wall. Then I came across this thing from Jaspers!
Once you get all those tubes hooked up, this thing is a delight. Light and easy to move. You can fold it up like a step ladder and carry it around with one arm. It also looks the part. The finish is a very good looking matt black. This is definately the best way to mount multiple keyboards. I am so pleased with this stand I am going to order another one!
PS. If Jaspers is listening, I would like to have a shorter version. I think 120cm is quit wide (- this is the shortest they do). Personally, the widest keyboard I have is 110.
However, it is easy enough to cut the tubes down, to suit.
Not great for knobby synths
Not ideal for analogues! May have to remove one of the rows because I can't get a happy arrangement with too little space to be able to access knobs etc. A bit frustrating.
But, otherwise, a very solid & well priced offering.
German quality.
I am very pleased with this product. Its very sturdy and so you know the keyboards are safe.It looks good as well, and should last a very long time.Very good value for money. The service is very good it arrived safe and sound from Germany in less than a week,so could not be happier. Many Thanks.
