Loudspeaker For Guitar

Great vintage vibe!
This speaker works so well with Princeton-amps. Perfect cleans for home use, and a really cool breakup when pushed in larger venues. Dig it!
Great replacement speaker for Princeton â65
No more shrill top end. Presence is there but not muddy at all. Good old fender crunch in low mids. Reverb tank sounds more musical and natural
It’s a bit quieter than stock speaker, not ear fatiguing. Very pleasant and vintage sounding
Overdrive pedals and modulation effects sounds more natural and stock tremolo sounds more convincing
Overall great upgrade for Princeton Reverb ‘65 reissue
The Jensen P10R-F
The Jensen P10R-F is simply an AMAZING speaker! Just amazing! I can't find a better word to describe it. I used it on a Blackstar HT-5 amp I never used to use and it has become one of my go to amps! It changed the whole character of the amp giving it a vintage Fender tone. It is very balanced and sounds more of a 12" speaker than a 10". A big tone, full of character that also made my amp more pedal friendly. The only con I can find which was a pro in my case is that it's not a very loud speaker. Don't get me wrong, it's not a speaker you can't gig with, it's just a little bit quieter. I loved this factor because it went inside a home amp and I can now raise the amp volume a tiny bit. Don't let this make you avoid the speaker though! I honestly can't recommend it enough since the tone is soooo sweet! A full bass a bit scooped mids and soft highs. Perfect for a pedal platform amp and perfect for the vintage Fender tone lovers!
True classic sound
This speaker is very good for fender super or vibrolux sound. Kind similar to the Eminence 1028 alnico, but with more vintage vibe. warmer sound than P10Rs, and very good for bedroom level usage with it's 92dB sensitive rating.
Compared to P10R, this F version is more mellow, aged sound, and seems more compressed when pushed hard. the tone difference will get more notable when gain increasing.
Perfect for Fender cleans
Lovely warm sound straight out of the box. Not for those who want a modern sound but perfect for jazzy cleans/mild overdrive. Bass response of a 12" almost
Fender vibroverb reissue
It takes a very short brake in period and after that, everything becomes just like a dream. Not to choke with the descriptions, this is how I imagine vibroverb should sound. Recommendation.
Does what it should straight out of the box!
Bought for use in a Fender '68 Custom Princeton Reverb Reissue. Previously tried the Celestion Ten-30 (stock), a Jensen C10R and a Jensen P10R with little success. After some research found this Jensen P10R-F and without out a doubt this is the perfect speaker for this amp.
Pros
Very balanced, Fender-like chime. Good bass response and a perfect crunch sound when over driving the speaker (volume over 5 and upwards). Excellent note seperation and response when riding the guitar volume. Reverb and Tremelo also has a more 3D and fuller output than I experienced with the other speakers. It also brought out the woody sound of the neck pickups. Finally, no icepick trebles or bass fart out, as was experienced with other speaker selections.
Tested with Fender Stratocaster - 54 pickups, Gibson Les Paul Trad. - 59 pickups.
Cons
None that I can think of. As this speaker gets more broken in I can only assume it will improve even more in tone and response.
Summary
A great speaker to tame the the icepick treble and farty bass that can often be found in the PRRI. Lovely overdriven speaker crunch. Works exactly as it should straight out the box!
