A simple compressor

Overall, it's a pretty nice compressor that adds a dab of sophistication to my playing. The dials are very self explanatory. The compression itself seems about right, with a good range. I also sometimes use the pedal as a boost, bringing compression down and increasing the volume. The small footprint is nice for making most of pedal board real estate. The logo is always a good conversation starter.

Compressor, nothing fancy but gets the job done. Small size makes it fits on any board and easy to move to different positions.

Besser als SP Comp

Ich hatte bisher den Xotic SP Comp und war irgendwie immer leicht unterbewusst unzufrieden mit dessen Sound. Klar, ein Kompressor verstärkt schwache und dämpft starke Signale, erzeugt deshalb auch viele Nebengeräusche, bzw. verstärkt diese (hiss). Aber beim SP Comp war mir das immer zu viel. Beim Whitey ist das um Welten besser.

Volume und Blend Regler funktionieren wie erwartet. Blend ist komplett links wet und komplett rechts dry, fand ich im ersten Moment nicht wirklich intuitiv, passt aber zu JHS, denn beim Moonshine ist das z.B. identisch.

Der Comp Regler hat weniger "Spielraum" als ich mir erhofft hatte. Der Kompressionsbereich ist beschränkt, aber für meine Zwecke ausreichend. Für den eingeschränkten Comp-Regler ziehe ich einen Stern bei Features ab. Der Rest überzeugt. Velcro ist schon drauf.

Und mal ehrlich, Logo und Name des Pedals sind einfach nur priceless und überragend einfallsreich.
