Cheep, loud and tiny. Drive my 412 cab fine! I Not so mutsh dist. on this. More like a marshall 5 o clock. love this one!,👌
Don't hesitate
This is a great little tool that does what is says on the tin. It is a perfect home practice head and I am going to test it with the band too. Can they tell the difference? One of the main advantages for this amp is that (I presume) due to the solid state power amp, the volume control is linear. And so you can use it in a quiet setting.
I have two additional points:
1) If you're thinking of using this live and need a volume boost, spend the extra for the Jackman II. Just like a JCM, a boost in front of the amp will only produce more drive. (Unless of course you are running the drive low, but then you have bought the wrong amp!)
2) There is a bottom end thump that isn't affected by the tone control. This seems to be eq'd into the amp, I guess to give you the impression of a 4x12 when you use it. This may or not work for you depending on your guitar and chosen cab/speaker.
That sound!
Portable, well built and cheap amp.
It has almost all the features you need, except the different knobs for each channel. If you need to switch channels all the time then better buy the Jackman II. Bluetooth is very good feature, you can run backing track from your PC or phone and bluetooth signal does not get effected by sound effects.
It is well built and knobs are good, only thing i do not like about build quality is the small, it has some weird smell, then i turn it on it starts coming.
Worst thing about this amp is sound, it sounds ok, but tone is quite off. If you are all about tone, then this one is better to pass.
Great Little Amp!
Bought this amp to compare it to an Orange Micro Terror and a Hughes & Kettner Spirit "Nano" Series Spirit of Vintage amp. The Joyo Jackman is probably my favourite of the three. It would be nice if it could have reverb on board but at this price and quality, that's not a deal breaker. Great pedal platform too. Solid OD and clean performance.
Great little amp, totally worth it for the price
I think I got this on discount and it was about 70 Euro, I mean, even if you already have a couple of amps and definitely don't need another one this thing is totally worth it, which was my case.
I didn't have an exact use case and need for this amp, so I have it as decoration atm, but sometimes when I go to friend's houses to play guitar I take this with me, fits in my backpack and there is no issue.
I also have a cab in my office and sometimes I take this amp with me to the office to play after work.
Idk, it's just convenient to take with you when you're on the move and it's nice decoration as well.
Even if you don't need it, it's a nice thing to have.
Great Little Amp, Absolutely Recommend
The Jackman is arguably the best amp in the joyo bantamp range. It sounds great and is well built with a metal construction. I have had stacks of fun playing it and the tones it has offers a great similarity to the Marshall JCM at a fraction of the price. The inclusion of an effects loop is huge too and the bluetooth compatibility allows it to operate as a reasonable practice amp. However, if anyone is going to use it for bedroom playing, it's much too loud (in my opinion) and is better suited to jamming with friends in an environment where noise control isn't an issue. I'm using mine with a Harley Benton 1x12 cabinet and the sound at 1/4 volume is more than enough to fill a room on the OD channel. Hopefully this gives anyone looking to buy the Jackman a decent picture of what this little amp can do.
Very solid small Amp.
I love this Amp. Bought it during cyber week for 79E which was a steal. The Bluetooth feature and effects loop work perfectly and enable me to use backing tracks from my phone to play along with.
Exceeded expectations.
At first I thought that the amp would not be loud enough or that I would be disappointed with the sound profile. That was not the case.
The amp (while limited in tonality due to the basic controls) has amazing potential, is an amazing pedal platform and its built in overdrive is one of the best I have ever heard. If you are looking to deep your toes into tube amps just to see what all the fuzz (pun intended) is about. This is the perfect place to start.
where can you get something like this for cheap
What can I say. I love it. yeah you can get better, yeah you can get more channels and just get more for more money a lot more money. But for the money i don't know anything that can match this. I got the cab to go with it. that is nice to
Portable Travel Amp
Saw quite a few online reviews for this amp so decided to take a chance without trying it. It's well worth the money it does have a bit of background noise, especially on the OD channel. which is also much louder than the clean channel, but it belts out at a decent volume using a 1x12 Celestion neo v type speaker.
