Good Budget EQ

JOYO is one of the most improving brands out there. They are doing cheap clones but they are good and this is one of them. I wanted an EQ which i can use for both guitar and bass, so chose this one, its covering most of the bands you need. Its effective, you can hear easily what its doing and can use as a booster if necessary. Nice color, nice LED, sliders stop at the center.

People always neglecting the importance and effectiveness of the EQ, you can dial in many different tones just with an EQ, you should get one no matter what you're playing or your system is.

I had few problems with my sound as playing a specifically built guitar made me sound woofy on some settings, and fuzz has this specific high pitched zizzing that i hate. After reading some reviews i decided to try this EQ and not to break my wallet. From the first click (as i kinda knew what i wanted eq to do for me) I managed to make my guitar sound better, it cleaned up the things i hated and enriched tones that i wanted to sound more clearly. I think this is a great product, does it's job well. And that fancy lightning makes the pedalboard look more pro.

The color boost

This pedal to color the tone and as an overall volume booster is amazing. Also it glows in nice colors.

Perfect budget MXR clone

A great EQ pedal, seems to be a MXR 10-band EQ clone, I'm very impressed by this range of Joyo pedals and this is no exception. Great quality for a great price. When all the settings are neutral it does not change the tone, a test which a lot of budget EQs fail to pass.

Ditch the Hum and Get the Tone You Want!

Totally removed my hum issuess from using a lot of pedals and an ancient electrical installation in my old house, without losing any musicality. Also great if you are a tone tweaker who knows what tone they are after and can't quite reach it with the guitar's own tone knob.

SO GOOD EQ FOR THE PRICE

One of the best choises when wanting an EQ pedal for your guitar or bass! I wont lie and I ll admit that those lights and the desighn got me into picking one up against some other cheap eqs but the choise was totally worth it. It is a great pedal after all.

Great EQ pedal that doesn't break the bank

EQ is important to have for pretty much any guitarist and this pedal delivers without breaking the bank.

The frequencies controllable are the same or similar to comparable EQ pedals with fixed frequencies of other brands. It's relatively sturdy (exactly the same as the other JOYO R-series pedals, of which I have a few) and doesn't alter the sound in other ways than you would expect from a EQ pedal.

In my opinion the foot switch has way too much resistance, which means that you need to press it with quite some force for it to work. It's the same switch like in older JOYO R-series pedals like the Tauren (Klon) or Maximum (Fulldrive), while the newer pedals like the King of Kings (KoT) have switches with way less resistance which I prefer greatly.

All in all I can recommend this pedal for sure. The only reason I would upgrade someday to something like the Boss EQ-200 or Source Audio EQ2 is when I need (midi) programmability or presets for my EQ settings.
