Joyo Zombie II Reviews
I can't believe something so small sounds so huge!
This things CHUGS. Big time! And it gives out a surprisingly good tone! It's able to keep up in band practice against other big amps. Great little amp.
Absolutely amazing price performance
This is my first hybrid amp head. I wanted to buy something to play grunge and thrash metal with. However, what surprised me was its clean channel! Besides the amazing 'boogie' like drive channel, clean satisfied my need for softer genres such as blues and pop rock. An absolute win for the money. Definitely recommend it.
Zombie
It's... I don't know what to say.
If you want sounds like Mesa Boogie, here we have Joyo Zombie II. A young brother of Mesa Boogie.
Zombie II - my favourite small amp
Zombie is my favorite little amplifier. It has enough gain, is easily portable and plays beautifully if you connect it to a quality speaker cabinet (2x12 or 4x12).
UNBELIEVABLE!!!
I was blown away! This thing is tiny, even smaller than it looks, but it´s LOUD AS F***!!! This amp keeps up with a loud drummer and the volume was half way or less! Tone is amazing, really good, sounds like a "real big amp", brutal tight chugs! Ridiculous how good this thing is! I used it with 8 omh, maybe at 16 omh wont be as loud!
You can buy it, it will deliver!
Does the job very well!
I've been playing with this amp for about a week now and I'm very satisfied with it! However, I feel that i have to mention a few things about it. For small gigs, home recording, practice and playing it is more than satisfactory. The sound of both channels is excellent (I'm running it through a Harley Benton 2x12 Vertical) and it feels sturdy and high quality. The sound is very nice from the start, meaning you don't have to tweak it much to sound good. The portability is an amazing feature. It works like a practice amp with headphones and the quality is really good. But, if you want it for rehearsals with a full metal band, the volume is not ideal. It is loud but I feel it is not loud enough, even at full volume it gets buried by a 100W tube head, a bass head amp with cabinet and a full drum kit. Many videos on youtube say that it is more than enough to play with a drummer, which is true! BUT, again, with a full metal band (or any other band at high volumes) it will not be satisfactory. Having said that, don't forget that it is a Hybrid 20W amp, so I wouldn't ask it to deliver something that a full 100W tube head would. It us not designed this way. Overall, considering the price, sound and quality I'm extremely satisfied with the Zombie 2 and I believe you will be too. The only down side (for me) is that it is not loud enough for rehearsals with a full band.
Wow, what an amp.
I have only had this amp a few days but the sound from it is amazing. Read a few reviews stating that the clean sound wasn't brilliant but I really like it. I am using a Fender Strat and you can really hear the personality of the guitar coming through nut the amp really shines with the dirty sounds. I am using the amp with a 12" Celestion vintage speaker and the only words of caution I would have is that this setup is possibly too loud for home use/recording if you have neighbours next door. I would imagine judging form the sound I am getting here in the house this amp would be loud enough to practice with a full band but haven't tried it yet. Love this amp, it is a definite keeper.
