Ok,I am not a professional trumpet player, I am a retired perfectionist builder who has been self teaching for the last six years so I am not experienced enough to give a true appraisal on this Jupiter JTR700. I have been playing a large bore Carol CTR 5002L-YLT a beautiful trumpet , I will be reviewIng that some other time. I wanted M/L bore trumpet to try out to see if it would improve my range and also to hear the difference in sound Of a gold brass Brass trumpet and the yellow brass brass of the one I have. The result is on both accounts is a slight improvement in my range and the sound is more mellow. Having played a large bore the smaller bore gave me more reserved air to play with. The trumpet sadly came down on the fact that the 3rd valve slide slid from its home position even when the 3rd valve was not pressed down , so to my mind that is a compression issue, the rest of the trumpet build was good , valves and finish I couldn’t fault. It is very good value for what you are getting.
