Yamaha YTR-4335 GII Bb- Trumpet

It is a bargain. Such a good quality for a reasonable price. It gives quite enough room for articulation without getting out of tune. I really can highly recommend to every intermediate players because it is definetely a step forward from beginner instruments. The only - let's say - weak point at my side is the valves. At first they seem to be a bit rough but after a month of daily usage it got far better. Now, after four months of usage, it is only the tiny sound of the valve springs that disturbs a litle bit but it is nothing you would not be able to live with in this category.

I started playing with this model as it was recommended to me multiple times while I was in the search of a good beginner/intermediate level trumpet. I read nothing but good things about it on different platforms. I've been playing (and taking lessons with) it for about nine months now and depending on my experience and comparing it to other trumpets in this price range; I couldn't be happier with this instrument. I showed it to different teachers and professional players and they all said positive things about it. Also the best price I found on this trumpet is one this site, honestly. plus the bundle that came with it. Looks like this trumpet's gonna last me for a long time. Worth every penny.

This trumpet produces a very clear and pure sound in all positions. The pleasantly smooth transition of sounds from middle to higher positions is an example of a professional musical instrument. The creation of the tone is very fine with the possibility of dynamic gradation in all positions of the instrument. Dynamic shading in classical trumpet concerts, such as Johann Nepomuk Hummel - Trumpet Concerto in Eb Major or Haydn's Trumpet Concerto in Eb major, gives players the flexibility to perform a piece of music with a wide range of tonal quality. Baroque concerts such as Johann Fasch - Trumpet Concerto in D major or Carlo Tessarini - Sonata in D and others can be played on this trumpet with a clear and brilliant tone, although they are mostly presented on piccolo trumpets. This trumpet...

I am a comeback player after 15 years. My level was never so good but not so bad neither, so I wanted to buy an intermediate model for my comeback. After reviewing and searching about various model, I decided to give this model a try. From moment 1, has never disappointed me. Perfect valve action, so called fast butter. Warm, round, bright sound. Super easy blowing. My trumpet teacher checked it in all register , and his conclusion was very good purchase. No intonation problem, all alternate fingerings works fine. I vhose this model over 4335, mainly because valves are from pro 6 series and this model is made in Japan where the quality control is at its best. What can I say, once again Yamaha hit the jackpot.
Schagerl TR-620L Bb-Trumpet

I bought this trumpet as an every day 'go to practice' trumpet and use it for my daily practice routine. I like the ML bore size, the light weight and overall efficiency of the trumpet's compact design. I can easily manage resistance where I want to - that is, in front of the lead pipe. Pros: - Great value for money - Light and easy to lug around if you're on the move - Free blowing ML bore - Tight wrap and nickel outer slides increases efficiency - Resonates very well Cons: - None in my opinion Schagerl is well known for producing high quality professional rotary valve and piston valve trumpets and working with artists to produce custom instruments that lead their innovation efforts towards producing great sounding, efficient and resonant instruments that meet the highest standards;...
Adams A5 Brass 045 Selected GL

Must be close to the lightest trumpet available today. Some physical and playing resemblances to classic Benge 3X. Responsive, flexible and easy to play. Can slur or jump across harmonics with very little effort. Excellent intonation. Can be used in all kinds of playing situations. Adams promotes this as a 'commercial' horn and works very well in that context, but also good for solo work or orchestral (Benge was principal trumpet in the Detroit and Chicago Symphony, after all). Works with many different kinds of mouthpiece and sound can be shaped by the player. However, does not sound or feel like Bach-type trumpet, if that is what you are looking for. Feedback to the player is also different and may need period of adjustment if you have not played this kind of trumpet before. Valves...

When it arrived, it had not been oiled before dispatch, and I had to take it apart, including stuck valves, before I could use it. However, when I did start playing, It was like a dream instrument. Silky smooth sound, as near perfectly in tune as I've ever found on a trumpet. The large bore gives it an amazing dynamic range. A little bit difficult to slot at the top end, but you would expect that from an instrument that has a more conical bell than usual trumpets. If you want a lead instrument, don't get this, but it's perfect for jazz. It's a copy of the Martin Committee, but without the worn-out valves and vintage price-tag!

Despite the annoyance of the cost of a bank transfer and the increase of the cost of the trumpet due to the exchange rate, I am pleased to say I am delighted with my new trumpet. I am a professional trumpeter with over 30 years experience. 8335 is incredibly free blowing and enables precise pitching throughout the range. Dramatic changes of dynamics are made easy on this fantastic trumpet. The contrast of the gold brass bell is beautiful. The 2nd valve was noisy to start with, but has now quietened down. The lack of water key on the 3rd valve slide is a bit of a draw back, but if this all goes to help the amazing unimpeded air flow, then it's well worth it. Well done Yamaha.
Startone PTR-20 Bb- Trumpet Gold

Having not played a trumpet for over 10 years I thought I'd give this a go. I will add some horn parts in a Motown band. I went for the gold coloured option (a bit more expensive) rather than the more obviously plastic colours. So far so good, it produces a decent tone, all notes sound, intonation seems fine. I was wondering whether there was some pitch instability in the highest register but I suspect this has to do with my own lack of practice. Valves spring back pretty fast, if not absolutely lightening fast and feel a touch heavy. Note that the valves are the only part of this instrument that is made of metal. The included mouthpiece is made of plastic (white, not black as in the picture) - some people have complained of a moulding seam in the mouthpiece that needed filed down, but...
B&S 3137/2-S PCL Philip Cobb
Based on 1 reviews
I have played B & S horns for over 15 years now. Mainly the 3138 Elaboration. I am the Music Director/ Trumpet for the NFL LAS VEGAS RAIDERS. Most of my playing is lead and commercial. The Phillip Cobb PCL completely surprised me!! I wanted to try it and it did not disappoint. I prefer the lightweight horns but surprisingly Iâm still able to scream in the upper register even though this is a heavier gage. The open leadpipe make all the difference. Such a gorgeous open sound!!! I absolutely recommend this trumpet. All of B & S horns have impeccable craftsmanship and quality. The PCL is a great addition to the B & S trumpet line!!!
