solid and stable

Good value for money. It is very stable and looks solid in the construction. With it's range it can be used in quite different recording spaces and setup. I'm using coupled with a stereo bar with two microphones.

SOLID

Don't put expensive mics (and shields/filters) on cheap stands.

Don't take chances.

Very Handy for overhead recording

I bought this tripod to record a concert tour (classical music), it was very handy as it could be placed on and off the stage because of its height.

K&M For The Win. Great design and quality. I’m very pleased with this.

Heavy but solid and secure.

These stands extend right up to 3m. The legs are very wide, and the weight of the tripod makes it stable. I have 2 of these but I generally only press them into service if I specifically want to use them - otherwise I generally avoid using them because of the weight & leg-spread. But that's OK. They are designed for a specific purpose and do it exceedingly well.

The quality is the usual K&M high level and these have been going strong for many years now. If you need a very stable stand that reaches up high you can rely on these. Coupled with the K&M booms makes them very very good stands.

Solid, stable and really tall!

Usual K&M excellent quality, with plastic turn-buckles on the clamps. With the tripod open, this stand is really stable, and goes all the way up to 3.1 meters when fully extended. I find it good for heavy objects that have thread mountings for mic stands, but in practice are too heavy and make a conventional stand unstable. I use two of these with the satellite speakers from a Lucas Nano 300, and find them excellent for this application.

Quality and stability

Use this as the stand in the studio for vocals. It is super stable. Usual K & M quality. Be warned though it is a bit of a monster in a tight space. The price you pay for stability.
