K&M 21070 Black

This stand is so much better than any other stand I have purchased, and I've got about x15. Build quality is great, it's solid and stable. Slightly heavier than other stands

Good Quality Stand

This has proven to be a durable and reliable mic stand, for the price the build quality is very good. It is light to carry but steady once it is set up.

Great stand for the price

While you can find more affordable options, with K&M stands you don't need to wonder how long it will last. We have K&M mic stands still working perfectly after a decade of use.

This particular stand is fairly basic and sturdy. Won't fall down too easily with an SM58. For noticeably heavier mics, you will want a heavier stand. Height and boom length adjustments are good for most use cases. For drum overheads, the height might be just enough for most situations, but obviously, taller stands will fare better.

Hardware isn't the most appealing stuff, but I recommend staying away from the cheaper stuff, since it WILL break and it will break sooner than you'd want. We have several defunct stands as proof of that. Investing in proper hardware means you won't have to think about it again anytime soon.

Pros:

- sturdy

- adjustments

- price-to-quality ratio

Works great with counterweight

Great mic stand. The only problem I had over years of use is that the nut doesn't clamp hard enough to sustain heavy mics in an extended position. Hence the 3 stars for stability. It's an easy fix hanging some sort of counterweight at the other end though...

the best stands around

This stand is a genuine piece of art. Every part of it is secure, sturdy and well built and manufactured.

It allows for maximum flexibility and doesn't topple over easily (unless you're using a huge, heavy mic).

I've used this on:

-Drum overheads

-Vocals

-Acoustic Guitars

-Piano

-Ambience / Room

It holds up well under pretty much any situation, and I can't find any faults with the product whatsoever. I'm sure this will last a long time in my studio.

Very Good Stand

K&M is kind of standard for stage use. I was used to work with cheaper stands, but then came to conclusion that my nerves cost more and switched to these ones.
