It's exactly what you want!
It's SUPER handy to take stands off the floor where possible. I have a kit placed in the same place. Being able to use a mono overhead (attached to the ceiling of my studio) above the kick drum pedal is fantastic.
The quality of the product is as to be expected. K&M makes some of the best microphone stands on the market!
