Kala Metal Round Wound 4
String Set for Ukulele

a bit expensive but exellent
I bought those strings for substituting the silicon original string on my 9 years old daughter's Ukulele as she was not confortable with those stock "fat strings". She is now very happy and enjoys her ukulele bass :)
They sounds good and are easy to play, might need a bit more strength to press them but if a 10 years old kid can do it I don't think that's an issue at all. very satisfied. They are in my opinion a bit expensive...
Put them on my Harley Benton U-Bass
The original strings on the HB CLU-Bass were funky to say the least. They roll off the frets, were hard to tune and quiet. I was unsure if these strings would work on my CLU-Bass, but they do and they are great. I would recommend that if you buy a CLU-Bass you buy a pack of these strings at the same time you won't regret it.
several months later and the strings are still great and sound good on the HB U-Bass
Pros: Sound great. fit on the CLU-Bass. They project more then the rubber strings that come with the bass.
Cons: They are expensive, but the only option.
Good idea in principle but I wasn't convinced....
I bought these with high expectations but was very disappointed with them. Had them on for about 20mins before taking them off - that's a lot of money to pay for 20mins playing time!! They didn't seem
to resonate at all and were very thin sounding. The G string was very dead too.
Caveat: maybe these would work better on a different U-bass? I was using the Kala Sub U bass. I've heard good reviews of them on the acoustic u bass?
