Not suitable for Harley Benton Cahuna bass ukulele

Bougt these to replace the factory strings on my Harley Benton bass ukulele.

They were almost impossible to install, and the tip suggested in the package did not work. A- and D- turned out to be impossible to intonate correctly. So, these strings left the bass unplayable. Removed the strings and put the factory strings back on.

Viable strings for this silly scale

These strings were used to trial a (fretted) bass in this ultra short scale.

They work, and provide an interesting & &appealing sound (but of course nothing like a double bass, as some people would have you believe). Particularly amplified you could take one of these miniature basses to a gig, if transport is an issue.

For me the finger setting on this short scale is a bit of an issue, but that has little to do with the strings. Of course the tension is also exceptionally low.

Quality-wise, the only issue is that these strings continue to stretch. So you keep on tuning, and the tension gets ever lower, and you get more & more string on your pegs. But none of them has broken yet, even after years.

Perfect on Ashbory

I fitted a set of Kala/Road Toad Pahoehoe strings to my Fender Ashbory. They stay in tune much better than the stock silicone ashbory strings and sound just as good.
